Lounging Around With AC30
Next Wednesday (1st June) sees the launch of Lounge AC30, which will then run every Wednesday thereafter from 7pm to 11pm.
The venue is Leonards, EC1 (just off Exmouth Market), within walking distance of Angel, Farringdon and Chancery Lane tube stations. There will be no entry charge, good beers and cocktails, a pool table, excellent food, plenty of space to hang out and chat, and nice big comfy sofas. There will also be drinks promotions which will vary from week to week.

On top of that, there'll also be four hours of really great music - think shoegaze, post-rock, electronica, dreampop, noisy indie etc., with weekly guest DJs and iPod sets from the Club AC30 regulars.
There are also DJ slots available, laptop, iPod, vinyl and mp3 cds, so if you fancy yourself as an AC30 DJ, drop them an email at info@clubac30.com.

Ahh, no thats $ bar and grill, which is kinda nice downstairs but wouldnt work for this night, and the drinks are seriously pricey in there.
Leonards EC1 is at the other end of exmouth market, opposite the park.

About an hour long, in and around the shoegaze / post rock / electronica / psychadelic genres would be nice. Just drop me an email if you would like to do a set.

what in the name of hell is shoegaze? i'm not entirely sure i'm up to date with all theses fancy new musical genres. as far as i'm concerned, if there isn't any blood involved it ain't music.

This gives a pretty good summary of what shoegaze is... and there aint much blood involved unless you count Chapterhouse's Blood Music.
