This year's nominees for the annual Q Awards, the award ceremony offspring of dad-rock bible Q magazine, have been announced. Whoa, there, Q - way to get radical on our arses.
Rather than write some silly paragraph about how these bands are mostly pants, how about you just look at the nominees and come to your own conclusions? Yeah? Cool...

Only one of those videos was any good, and that's the Kasabian one.
All the 'best tracks' are shit as well. Well, maybe not all of them, but they're far from award worthy.Can't they just give everything to Muse this year? It's inevitable.

does anyone remember back in the day when Snow Patrol weren't that bad? 100 Things You've done In Bed and Starfighter Pilot, were good poppy punk songs, now snow Patrol make me want to vomit up my own pelvis!

has been shit for ages. it is a pretty predictable line up in terms of nominations, and that'll probably be mirrored in the nominations for brit awards. surely the merits of the best act in the world today should go on the performances over the last year. going by this the award should easily go to the mystery jets. zoo time.

with the Scissor Sisters' song? The backing track sounds like reheated Stock, Aitken and Waterman. Jesus in a bun, it's awful.
They'll be namechecking Big Fun and Sonia next. The 80s is 'where it's at', after all. Isn't it?
