woo!
Nottingham for me
last year
I went to see the decemberists instead of of Montreal, biggest mistake Ive ever made. Not that the decemberists weren't amazing.
that was kind of a pointless post
and should have read *abandon reply* as should this
..
I saw Decemberists at ATP and enjoyed the whole "sit down" thing, until I was informed that they did it every gig. The I felt used.
See? This is a pointless post!
yeah I was there
and saw it coming so refused to sit down, I was fairly near the front and felt conspicious so bowed to pressure and knelt. Its a gimmick they stole from when the unicorns supported them apparently.
Brilliant
why is everyone missing out Bristol all of a sudden?
.
I sat down at ATP and it nearly killed me. 3 days of standing up and some buggers tell you to sit down then stand up straight away - my poor knees and back.
Great show though.
Bit of a pisser they're not coming to Birmingham, if only if it were a major city then maybe some bands would consider playing there. Oh well, could always travel to Nottingham with their 10pm return trains. Sigh
damnit
I hear that. Living in Leicester with minimal late night trains is a real shocker.
roar
leadmillmedo
:D
i have my ticket
i don't care if they do the sit down thing wherever they go, i saw them at koko and it was very fun indeed. i'll dress as a sailor.
Best news ever
I really can't wait.
Audience participation is the way forward, Screaming at the last Dec. Gig for mariners revenge was a hoot.
As a former Brum resident
London gigs were always the most accessible if a tour didn't call in town - there's an 11.40pm train out of Euston, or buses on the hour from Victoria all night. Means you have quite a late night and adds £20 or so onto the cost of a ticket, but I saw a fair few bands that were only doing one-offs in London...
To this day
I regret not going to that gig because I saw The Decemberists the night before supporting Cake. My one chance to see The Unicorns live and I blew it. If only I knew about them before they broke up.
Oh
that was you was it? ow, my ears.
Very very excited about both the album and the Shepherd's Bush date!!
