Bloc Party announce UK dates plus Razorlight support

Bloc Party have announced a set of dates to follow the release of their debut album ‘Silent Alarm’, out on February 14th.

The dates are:

March

01 Edinburgh Liquid Room
02 Sheffield Leadmill
04 London Forum
05 Portsmouth Pyramid

Support on the short tour will be Chromeo, with additional support on the London date from Battle.

Additionally, Bloc Party will also be playing with Razorlight on February 12th at the Alexandra Palace plus a date at Whelan's in Dublin on 17th of January (this Monday). Support comes from DiS' own Redjetson. The DiS label signees also play the following dates:

12 London - Death Disco @ Notting Hill Arts Club with Lyca Sleep and Ariel.
14 London - ICA Halloween Short Film Festival - Type2error night with THe Edmund Fitzgerald and 'Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategies'
15 Manchester - The Music Box with The Sonar Yen, The Lucida Console and The KBC
16 Belfast Auntie Annies with Driving By Night and Sixty Minute Silence

Oh, and there’s also the new Bloc Party single ‘So Here We Are’ out on January 31st, which is backed with, ‘Positive Tension’ (also on the album) and a re-recorded version of ‘The Marshalls Are Dead’, from the band’s neo-legendary debut 7” single on Trash Aesthetics…
