Joy. Discovery. In-store - Biffy Clyro take it to the high streets
When I was in high school I wrote an album called Infinity Land - it had awful manics influenced lyrics. i think it was that that made me realise how rubbish any band i was in would be. is their title a jeffrey dahmer reference too?
Re: Joy. Discovery. In-store - Biffy Clyro take it to the high streets

Is anyone else expecting Simon (of BC fame) to hole himself up in one of these venues and start a religious cult?
He's just beginning to look like that kinda guy.

Re: Joy. Discovery. In-store - Biffy Clyro take it to
That or start a habit of sorts in order to gain press attention for the band-only to be kicked out by Ben, who will refuse to play with him unless he gets "clean" Which in turn will lead to Simon starting another band who will be overhyped by the_NME and have riots at their gigs because he "Fell downstairs"

Euro-trance intros...screaming hidden tracks...a song called 'The Kids From Kibble And The Fist Of Light'!? This album is tweaked. Brilliant, but absolutely bonkers.
Joy. Discovery. In-store - Biffy Clyro take it to the high streets
An absolutely stunning album

So where's the review, then? I thought DiS would be raving about 'Infinity Land' on day of release...

d'you not think the new album's a bit lame? compared to Vertigo..., I mean? They're still amazing live (saw them for the 13th time last Monday), but there's a lot of filler (...Crasp), and it's a far less experimental-sounding album than the last two. Anyway... another minor gripe, but for a band with so many b-sides, EP tracks, album tracks etc, why does it seem like they only ever play the same ten (or so) tracks every time I see them... it'd be nice to hear them have a go at 'Diary Of Always', or 'Stress On The Sky' for once!
Re: Joy. Discovery. In-store - Biffy Clyro take it to the high streets
The review's not here because the reviewers are.....WANK!
"Put the two together with the best fans in the UK (SCOTTISH)
and what do you get = A guy saying "Stitch this jimmy" while pushing a broken brown bottle in yur face. I'll stick to biffy when they come to Norwich thanks.

The only time I've ever heard of them playing 'Stress On The Sky' was when they supported Limp Bizkit. Fate is a cruel mistress sometimes.
Personally I'd like to hear 'Solution Devices', but that's never going to happen.

I've seen Biffy Clyro twice in a year and I was astonished.
How could a band this bad get such good acclaim?

Too many freaks not enough circuses

I take it back about the album. It's a grower. Amazing. 'Turn It On. Turn It Up' may well be the best Biffy song ever. 'Got Wrong' may well be the second best Biffy songe ever.

Best track on the new album.... either 'Only one word comes to mind' or maybe 'wave upon wave upon wave' but to be honest I love the whole thing. Lots. I couldn't choose just one.
