Welcome to the weekend, it has landed or somesuch e-talking nonsense. This playlist was made with a hangover and it probably shows.»

Ah, another cold and misty week in London is nearly over and amid end of list year list compiling and finishing off some exciting new features, the record releasing and music news hasn't relented. Anyhoo, here's our weekly Spotify playlist to accompany the content this week on DiS.»
This week's Spotifriday playlist, featuring Camera Obscura, Daniel Johnston, Four Tet, Liars, Kelpe, These New Puritans and a gaggle more.»
As you've hopefully come to expect, DiS ends each week with a little audio interpretation of what was on the site this week. Some say it's a little like a website cover mount, whilst others have been heard asking whether we have shares in Spotify or something (no but considering 2million+ people are using it, we wish we did!). »
On this playlist we've mixed theme tunes from TV shows and songs from horror movie soundtracks with some ghoulishly titled tracks from some of DiS' favourite acts, plus some gothic ridiculousness from Cradle of Filth and found Burroughs reading some Edgar Allan Poe. »
This week's content-related Spotify playlist, featuring Wavves, Jamie T, Copy Haho, Biffy Clyro, Atlas Sound, Sufjan Stevens, Rolo Tomassi, Eels and many more.»
To mark the end of Kraftwerkweek we've put together a Spotify playlist of music that owes its existence to Ralf, Florian, Wolfgang and Karl. »
This week's Spotifriday content-related playlist, featuring Muhdoney, Nirvana, Pixies, Sufjan, St. Vincent, Tom Waits, Weezer, A Place To Bury Strangers, Girls and many more!»

This week's Spotifriday playlist.»
DiS' founder and current editor Sean Adams compiles a playlist of songs that could be heard in the year 2000 (a rough theme we've set for you to build a Spotifriday playlist around - more details here) when this very website was in its embryonic stages. First, a bit of prologue...»
This week's content in the form of a Spotify playlist, featuring Q-Tip, Maps, Ramona Falls, Nosaj Thing and Pavement.»
This week's content in the form of a Spotify playlist.»
This week on DiS as a Spotify playlist featuring Michael Jackson, Efterklang, Richmond Fontaine, Daniel Johnston, Paramore and Cougar.»

A slightly more sombre Friday Feeling this week, with the news that songwriter extraordinaire Ellie Greenwich passed away this week at the age of 68.»
'Ding! 'Ding! As part of DiS' Reading Festival preview, we've made a mixtape of the festival's greatest hits but first, a little prologue from DiS' editor.... »
Sunday has various songs written about it and dedicated to it but almost all of them are downbeat dreamy affairs. Strangely Sunday has nowhere near as many songs written about it as Saturday but maybe that's because those who've already written songs about Sunday have pretty much nailed it? Most of this playlist touches on things you might do on a Sunday but it's mostly songs that give me the Sunday feeling. »
Putting together this playlist we were taken aback by how many songs feature Saturday in the title and strangely, how many of them are pretty great. In fact, there are so many songs that had Saturday in the title that we didn't really bother (with a few exceptions) to find other things which sound-like or sum up this day of youthful exuberance, barbecues and birthday bashes. »
DiS is still mulling over the decade that was and pondering who the most important acts were, what the best gig was and which labels/events/moments really truly mattered. To soundtrack my thought process, I've compiled this playlist of my favourite songs of the decade and thought I'd join the opensource revolution and share this playlist with you all.»
Yeah, THANK GOD/DOG/F*CK IT'S FRIDAY! It certainly was the easiest day to pick random tracks for which feature the name of the day in the title. In fact just searching for 'Friday Night' brings up a whole array of interpretations of "party night". Hopefully this playlist goes some way to summing up and soundtracking at least one part of your Friday night frolicking and if not, what says Friday to you? (comment below)»
DiS likes to think of Thursday as the day before festivals start or the night most of the best gigs take place in London. Thursday of course has a popular emo band named after it and is yet another day that Bowie has put in a song title. Of course, 'Thursday Afternoon' is one of those wondrous must-listen pieces of magic which Mr Eno put together. Is it better than Music for Airports? We can't decide but it's certainly as lush and lovely to drift off to, especially after the odd adventure that is 'My Sister = My Clock'. »
What can we say about Wednesday? Not a lot. It's the middle of the week yet it's more like the week has half started, rather half over. »
So, after Monday's edition of a playlist for every day of the week, we move logically onto Tuesday.»
This Spotify playlist starts with the obvious "Monday Morning Anthems", moves into blissful half-awake territory, has a mid-morning doze before the guttural screams of WAKE UP! to catch anyone who might have drifted off at their desk. The second hour is an eclectic hodge-podge of requests and Monday-ishness. »
This week's content in the form of a Spotify playlist.»
The (nominees were announced on DiS yesterday](http://drownedinsound.com/news/4137495-dis-alternative-music-prize--the-neptune-nominees-announced) but before you rate the albums, we thought you might like to listen to all of them. You've got until 8th of September to vote so take your time, form your opinion and then score them out of 10. »
DiS likes to end the week with Spotifriday. It's a weekly Spotify playlist which linkedly runs down the best bits from this week on DiS. This is the 11th time we've done it and you simply download the free Spotify software and then click here to listen whilst reading the below stuff or doing whatever you please. »
At the end of each week DiS uses Spotify to make something-like a magazine cover mounted mixtape to accompany this week's content.»
