Zombie Squirrels?

guntrip [Edit] [Delete] 5 replies 09:36, 2 December '05

it begins...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4489792.stm

what really "worries" me about this is the following:

"Komosmolskaya Pravda notes that in a previous incident this autumn chipmunks terrorised cats in a part of the territory."

Land Of The Dead ain't far off, then. Watch out for trees rustling above you, you never know what might drop out..

  • it was inevitable that I was going to post on this

I like the way that they suggest that it's a logical step from pinecones to 'oh there's no pinecones' to LIVE DOG FLESH! Surely they could have found some other nuts or seeds or something?!

      • Haha

this story is ace. Rampant killer squirrels? Fantastic. It's the natural order of things. Within two generations, squirrels will have taken over the earth, and will be using rocket launching nut grenades to conquer the UK.

        • I've never heard of black squirrels before

Are they real? that one looks like it's been dyed by a particularly inept Goth?

Also for some reason I imagine them as much bigger than normal squirrels - at least the size of a large kitten.

          • yeah, they are

i saw some in New York a few years back, although I didn't realise you got them in eastern Russia as well. I remember them being quite small, actually.

Scariest part, however, is NOT the flesh eating - it's the chilling realisation that the flesh eating squirrels have developed teamwork skills, and hunt as a pack!
