Got to do everything around here, haven't I.
United will beat Newcastle. Leicester v Spurs could be okay. Load of shite otherwise.
Sunday could be interesting. Expecting Chelsea to come out fired up at West Brom. Everton could provide an After the Lord Mayor's Show shock for City.
Leeds v Sheff Weds, Fiorentina v Milan, and Bilbao v Barca should all be worth watching.
of the Anfield Greatest Miscarriage of Justice in the 21st Century fame is reffing at Old Trafford today!!! YCMIU, right lads? right?
do you think that one cb position is sorted at Manc city now after spending 70mil on it?
throwing that suggestion out there
The wednesday goal against leeds was a bit OOFT too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZwS7JfaQ3Y
THAT! WAS A GOAL!
United have been tedious this season. LVG hasn't a clue how to use Mata has he?
Carrick for the pig botherer is obviously the move to blow the game wide open.
because they've been handed such a gentle start to the season, and they are going to get better. They would have been rinsed by Swansea or Leicester in their current state.
if the opposition were a bit more adventurous, there'd be more space to move in the final third, and the defence looks like it could cope with anything.
the mighty Club Brugge needed us to score for them.
pretty sure Edwin Van der Sar is looking on, jealous and fretful. 180 minutes and counting!
"one chance, one goal" Hernandez there.
If he leaves I'll fucking give up, without him out options are absolutely piss poor
total bobbins. would rather have a fat Yann or fatter Tomlin
proper need a striker. just give ibrahimovic a million a week ffs.
fucking hell, how shit is Mings?
Gonna chase losses, £50 on 3-2 Wammers at 25-1
Wammers sub league one
but I smell a prem league comeback! 8-2
meaningless possession at the back for ten mins followed by pointless long ball from the full backs for Kane to chase.
Still can't even remember
but then we got sherwood so everything was fine.
paulinho capoue lamela et al.
either he took the fall for that or just cnbfa with it, probably 75/25 in favour of the former.
Levy is always targeting the 'next' manager even before he is bored with the 'current' manager.
King is one of the worst players I've ever seen. And I've seen Adam Barrett
It's the new wig fell off!
ref calls it back because a wammer got a hit on the tummy. YCMIU!! drinks breaks galore. fucking mickey mouse league for pussys
Fair play to them I say.
We had him on loan last season - didn't put a foot wrong
£65m on players or not, that's a resounding win away at the league's worst team after Sunderland.
Probably because he's basically immobile the rest of the time.
shithouse outfit like Cardiff though.
Januzaj's diving today was pathetic.
not really sure why he's being played as a number 10. LVG said he likes to play a second striker there, but in terms of goal output, both Mata and Hererra have been more effective and would probably do a better job. Memphis looked like a fish out of water there too.
Part of this "united will get better" thing is just watching LVG try every dodgy combination before he gets to a sensible one.
Despite gonad's trolling, Leicester Spurs should be decent.
we're really good this year
didn't realise he's
a) only 40
b) has been managing since he was 26
...seems to be the latest go-to opinion of people who pretend to watch other leagues.
also like his celebration where he spits on the floor and then puts his head in it
why are there no rumours linking United with a sensible purchase? why nothing for Lacazette? or Benzema? what about that dude who scored a hat-trick against Barca for Bilbao?
you'd think a club with United's needs and resources would be realistically be able to get a decent striker.
plus there's the French connection with Wenger. Think any interest there would be met with another SNUBBING. Real are unlikely to be keen on doing business with us either. As for Lacazette, I could easily see him being a flop. It's a bit of a Spurs signing.
For both strikers and centre backs, there have been so few players of real quality change hands this summer. Unless you're Real or Barca you can't just summon otherwise unavailable star players to join you.
better than anything we've got in terms of pure strikers. idk, m8, I was looking on enviously at Bas Dost the other day.
as it is, Wilson should be starting. give him a few games, wonder why we didn't do it sooner.
Oh that glorious age when your team could on occasion transform into something people would remember for years to come; maybe win the cup or knock on the upper levels of division one.
A local lad could be that talismanic hero that would instil local pride; with a maverick foreign signing spicing up the side.
There were shit times too, there always was and will be; but when it was good, you could feel carefree.
And now every summer half my team flies away; to be a Tottenham squad player will surely pay; and every weekend I can watch my face rubbed into it, the glory days are like cleaning up your own shit; as match after match contains players I've cheered; making their way across Old Trafford or Anfield; whilst Skyports sources cheerily decry that the next 2 would like to say bye-bye; today it's Wanyama and Mane being prised into the arms of the moneyed class, in a few months our manager will have had enough of this thankless task.
And I say fuck you football, I'm taking up something less abusive; where I don't periodically feel battered, cynical and negative. Underneath all that Sky razzmatazz is a system that leads the common fan fucked in the ass.
May/June and August - they are my 'time of the year'
A profound affliction.
and i challenge you to do better after a skinful
Zero chance of Watford beating Saints.
in all seriousness though, you've been paid well over the odds for all the players that have moved on and got great deals for them. 20mil+ Lovren, 35mil Shaw, 25mil lallana. Mad prices, imo
But it does nothing to facilitate the further development of the first team - they cannot attract better players than they had despite having made a significant profit on those sold. They would be better off with those players than with the money.
who couldn't offer the wages you can or the prestige of the league you're in. Fans of PL sides whinging about clubs out-moneyball-ing them is farcical, quite frankly; these are days when Andre Ayew, Gokhan Inler and Xherdan Shaqiri rock up to play for midtable moderates. Unless you support Barca or Bayern, there will always be someone bigger than you that can pinch your prize asset if they suddenly decide they have to. That's how football has been for decades.
Losing half of your first team each summer is more than just losing your 'prize asset' though.
small boys in the park.... jumpers for goalposts.... isn't it.... mmmm ...?
Bit disheartening to know that I've witnessed the best we'll ever achieve and now all we'll do is bounce along as a mid-table third-tier team again. Still, was great fun. In a bit of denial that we didn't fucking rinse the Champo the year we made the POs. Ho-hum. :(
*cries into auto windscreens shield winners mug*
Sure it's only a matter of time before calamitous Steven Caldwell comes back from Toronto to join him too.
rarely, he'd actually be better off going to man u and sitting on the bench than taking the intermediate move to the strikers purgatory that is spurs
Gone by March.
didn't want him anyway
when Chelsea's defence is shit.
I expect it to be a fine spectacle. The most important thing, though, is everybody enjoys themselves and gets back home safely.
can we put this dickhead on ice as well?
You coming down?
Someone give him a managers job.
Or me, a life.
I can see why City fans find him so annoying
they do look shit, and with Mane and Wanayama gone, even worse. Some proper hoof ball going on. Also going to ruin my only actual bet of the weekend on the £10 treble
Mad how this lad isn't held in the same regard as Zola and Bergkamp. Watching him play football genuinely gives me a hard-on.
0-0 away at gijon.
3 goals in 6 matches so far in la liga.
they've identified, scouted and signed a great player in Pedro. Would be an asset to any prem league team tbh
It's like what I imagine wingers were like in the 50s.
