Since the other one is yeah.
Cazorla should've got to that Gibbs cross ffs
if we win, it'll be the first time we've won five consecutive games in the second tier since 1950 or something. in fairness we've only played a couple of seasons at this level in that period but still.
to make my prediction as accurate as possible, I played the match on Pro Evo 2015 and Brentford won 2-0, two Tommy Smith goals from two Jota crosses, along with a frankly sensational lunge from Jonathan Douglas to send some Wolves player about ten feet into the air and earn a red card. with #KingTipper currently out of action, get your beer tokens on this result and you'll be firing up the money printing machine come 5pm.
You've got a decent team down there.
How we have stayed top I have no idea
don't think 4-0 flattered us massively either. couple of seasons ago a team like wolves, full of six foot plus players, would have just bullied us and we've have lost but we ran rings round some of them, they tired towards the end and we took advantage.
I'd still say Derby are the best side I've seen us play so I'm not surprised you're still up there. Norwich may have beaten us 3-0 but I wasn't overly impressed.
There are 7 or 8 teams who don't seem to want to get up there and stay there. The current exceptions are Brentford and Ipswich but the likes of Boro, B'mouth, Forest, Norwich even Wolves have flirted with the top and not managed to string together a run of results.
The Championship eh?
Since that sandwiches and films interview, I love him. I even love how boring and petty he is. I even don't mind his...voice? No.
Bit of a grim fixture list today.
High potential for Liverpool to get embarrassed today, kinda hope they don't for some strange reason.
but at a guess, for the use of a certain "r" word.
Haven't seen a side roll over for United so limply as Hull have here in a long time. Good ol Unkie Steve.
Meanwhile enjoying West Ham's unstoppable rise to the Champions League. Not enjoying Rooney and co getting momentum.
one of the best performances we've ever put in since we've been back in the championship
dunno if that makes less sense than this though
should have like 100 replies by now, sad times.
We played good football today. For like the third game in a row. Quite nice to have us play good football all of a sudden. Cazorla's suddenly turned into a not-at-all-shit player for some reason, and ramsey's coming back into form, looked athletically imposing in the same way as last season.
but until then we'd completely failed to get even the basics of attacking right most games, which was much more worrying than our defensive shitness cos that's mainly just cos of injuries/thin squad. It's good that we look offensively coherent and there's nothing you can do to take that away
it could have been a blood bath otherwise.
But next weekend at Stoke has 1-0 defeat written all over it.
non-league Spartans beat Morton in the Scottish Cup, Hyde beat Tamworth 4-3 after going behind 3 times, and BEST OF ALL everyone's favourite underdogs Fort William win their third league game in a row (first time they've doen it in 12 years and only the second time they've ever managed it) by beating Huntly 4 (FOUR) nil. amazing scenes. I wonder if that's their biggest league win ever. they're not only not bottom now, they're a very respectable 6th from bottom. absolutely massive for them.
I may have been watching without the benefit of a replay or commentary, but it looked the correct decision. The trouble is the ref and lino both gave a corner only to be waved over by the 4th official who either over ruled or advised to give a pen. Trouble is he's what, 60 yards away? Did he look at a replay? It didn't look good either way.
Probably was a hand ball though, so right decision in the end. Except of course that 5 minutes later we had a cross clearly handled in the box... no pen.
absolutely appalling. Also, the Brett Pitman to Stanislas offside fuckup when they just had the keeper to beat to make it 3-1 is one of the worst things I have ever seen....just....wow.....
you were above us on G/D with Boro just behind us. Then with a minute to go the shit hit the fan and when the dust settled we were still top with Ipswich a point behind in 2nd!
Think it can only have been about 30 seconds apart, and both for pretty silly things.
that my new flat is in walking distance to AFC Wimbledon's ground. That's my Saturdays sorted for when Chester FC aren't playing down south.
On topic, I'm loving how we're nearly half way through the season and there's some random surprise teams near the top of each of the leagues. Southampton and Wham in la Prem, Burton in league 2, Bournemouth and Boro in the Champ. It would be great if they could keep it going and upset the applecart a bit.
Should be fun
So you can all shove that in your respective pipes
Costra tried to kick O'Shea in the head and gets no punishment.
Chelsea seem like they can't be arsed.
we never looked like scoring there really, far too many mistimed/misplaced passes as well. Sunderland really unlucky not to score on several occasions. going to have to do much better than that to maintain our lead at the top, let alone finish the season as #Invincibles.
working the rest of the week? ahahaaaaaahhhhaaaaaaahahahahaaaaahhhaaa
Mick McCarthy's the best isn't he? Spent roughly £0 and taken a team (and town) Roy Keane attempted to destroy forever out of sheer hate and made them actually good.
I hope he takes them all the way to the Champions League final while spending no money, thereby exposing capitalism as a boring sham
shithouse, mate. Really bad team playing really shit ANTI football. Outside the playoffs if there is ANY justice in this world
and fluke the playoff final
Would pay money to hear him pronounce foreign player names for an evening.
I'm expecting a lot of ^this kind of backlash
Can I talk about the A-League? Just back from our game. We (Wellington Phoenix/Sheffield Weds) beat Melbourne City 5-1, sticking two fingers up at the oilballers (Man City affiliation, David Villa on loan, etc). Nathan Burns scored our first ever hat-trick, in our 8th season, and Fijian fan favourite Roy Krishna got his first goal for us. This is basically about as good as it gets.
I'll try to get it started. (Weirdly, he's a Christian, crossed himself after scoring).
classic that we did it at the expense of Chelsea's only competitor, mind.
in midfield for spurs today
dembele paulinho capoue etc huffing and puffing and doing the square root of fuck all each game is getting annoying
Not sure that Dier or even Kaboul wouldn't have been a better choice at right back though.
obviously against Baines that's not great, chiriches though :/
is both comical and brilliant.
Not a patch on Weah though.
vidal takes one look at him, thinks "nah, don't fancy that', and backs off.
