I'm watching a film from 1984 and Mike from Breaking Bad just turned up in it
Gonna go home and drink a lot of beer to warm up for the Wether-crawl tomorrow.
Found a multitude of inexplicably expensive unopened cans around my room (receipts in bags) such as under the bed, in a cupboard and in a drawer. So drinking these. Nothing to do this weekend. Sweet.
Listening to a few of sheeldz latest radio shows and drinking beer. Nay bad.
Might buy some drugs and go play darts. Got exams next week which is a bit of a bummer. Anybody know anything about management theory? Or have any drug guys? Or both?
Don't really know anything for it
Mine is in accountancy. Don't ever want to be an actual accountant. Just started doing them to impress my boss.. About 3 years ago. Guess I'm going to be an actual accountant soon
it's half political theory, half remembering dates. i'm rubbish at the latter.
accountants bring in big dollars though, right?
i have accountancy exams next week too. what are you doing?
What about you?
i'm doing cima too. p1 and f2 this time round. hope to be doing p2 and e2 for november
let me know how you find it, would be good to hear from someone who's not a robot.
F2 I disliked (accountsy) t you forget it
You'll be fine I'm sure matey. Pick up the easy marks. They let any old twot be an accountant these days anyway
i quite like the F ones as it's the main part of my job and makes a lot of sense to me
good luck with yours. not sure i really understand the new syllabus but will look into it after this round.
Going to a daytime party in an old Victorian School yard with a few DJs playing and BBQ and the likes. I'm really looking forward to it cause some of the Horse Meat Disco guys are playing somewhere afterwards.
have you seen frozen? I saw it last night and wept. Tempted to watch it again atm.
I'm tired and a bit grumpy. Going to watch HIGNFY in a bit then drink beer and listen to music and have an early night.
due to yet another sodding cookery programme. Fuckssake.
Life Aquatic (for a second time, brought on because of how much more I really really liked Bottle Rocket on the second watch)
Oldboy (Korean version innit)
More Things That Happened (the edited-together deleted scenes from Inland Empire - not on Netflix but in a multi-part thing on YouTube, mainly cause the Twin Peaks anticipeaktion has put me in a Lynch mood, and I havena seen this yet)
I've never seen Inland Empire. I've seen everything else by Lynch. I should watch it shouldn't I? Should I? I'm presuming it's a whathefuckishappeningathon!?
if you know what I mean, like it's WAY more about tone and atmosphere than it is about story and narrative (moreso than Lynch's other films), but it works pretty well, I think.
Oldboy gets my vote by the way
not sure how much in a mood I am for something so dark now (and I get the feeling that film is hella dark).
I've wanted to see it since about 2009. It was one of the films on the schedule for a uni film club I was one of the very few members of; and it was the one I'd been most looking forward to, but that week, the club was cancelled.
what did you go for?
might do in fifteen mins or so
got Frances Ha added to tonight's hypothetical list though as well
Netflix is so cool, even if it is limited in some respects
cause it's pretty short and I'm kinda tired.
Reeeeallly liked it. There were bits where I felt kind of miserable because it shows the sort of life I don't have (standing on my own two feet with a proper social life, etc.), but I grew to get over my dickishness.
I especially loved the last few scenes. Warmed my heart in the same way that the ending to Rushmore does.
might play minecraft in a bit
Had two back teeth out this morning under general anaesthetic. So sore but the meds are making me high as a kite. Needs vast amounts of needy cuddles.
Sending you cyber cuddles
Cleavon Little is easily the best character.
Early train the morrow
I met my friend from works dog today. She brought her back when she moved back to the UK from Nigeria. They're both ace.
he's a very nice man. Although the meeting made me feel like a proper grown-up.
Drinking beer at home, just watched the news - 6.3/10. Not even any storage hunters on Dave. Mrs C_B has gone up to Manchester to watch atheltics.
Been chilling in the garden with the cats, sort of hanging round to watch Jools Holland, not sure who's on. I'll be fucked if I'm watching Graham Norton though.
I know she did Digital Witness on the Tuesday show, but dunno if there's more on the extended one tonight (I'm hoping for 'Regret').
Also, I know there's Brian Eno + Karl Hyde, and Kasabian, and a buncha other people I can't remember off the top of me heed
Yeah kasabian first up. Predictably terrible.
The guy from Underworld and Eno are pretty cool considering getting the record now
Didn't really like St Vincent. Wotsit sound machine were decent. Enjoyed Natalie merchant. Great review.
But I've got some Fosters left and I'll probably sack of sleeping instead
Friday night telly is proper shit isn't it. Scratch that, telly is properly shit isn't it. Can't wait until they stop broadcasting individual shows and everything's just one mass scale season long film you stream from the net onto your consciousness. Yeah.
Every time I stay in on a Friday I realise why I normally go to the pub.
Now I am continuing my Blood Brothers reunion freakout
also my flatmate went home without telling me.
asked parsef to ban me for exams but then realised that nobody actually revises so much that they have no free time, borrowed this account now
they were playing a song from it in the SU the other day though and it got me. i'll try to watch it
not sure if it is, and it's still not perfect, but it's probably quite progressive for a disney film.
he's crap though. only hang around with him cos his name's just before mine in the register
using the whole day as free time probably not so great
-Wait until the day before
- Condense your entire terms notes into a few pages of notes
- Then condense those notes into an A3 brainstorm map thing (usually by which questions I think I'll be answering)
- Re-read this until this is in your head, by now it's usually morning so I fold it up and go to the exam still trying to get it memorized. Get to the exam and never ever stop writing.
Never got less than a 2:1 so i'd imagine with actual working you'll do fine with this method
couple of times i've felt like i needed to but then gave up at about 1am and ended up getting lucky in the exams
I envy it in a lot of ways cause Im never able to motivate myself to do it in daytime until THE FEAR grips me, wish I had more time to organise stuff
Good luck and just don't panic, you'll do great :)
