pretty much the only pub I go to though.
Good pub so I hope not...
I think think Antic Did A Wilwall, renamed and bought it back up.
Couldn't understand why a group as seemingly successful as Antic would want to get rid...
owing the tax man loads of money
the operations manager of Antic then bought the company back about a month later for a bargainous price
I will be there myself later this evening - meeting my mate Ben!
Maybe Effra Social in Brixton if that counts. Good thread.
Have never ever seen a pub that busy. Was fucking MENTAL. Walked out in disgust at not being served after ten minutes at the bar. It's a fucking PUB! Fuck off.
Why was it so busy? Sounds rubbish.
Fuck knows. I had my wrist stamped to get in and everything.
Will be my local when I move in a couple of weeks. Good beer and decent quiz.
looks like an old mans house
not a pub, but they sell beer.
so might not be
Anyone else? Then spotlight for some food.
if you count that as a pub, if you don't, then still the windmill.
Not really a pub I don't think.
we went there for the soft open, that place is MAGIC
Only going for some drinks though and waiting until Nov for dinner.
it's not really a pub. or a bar. look it's not really my choice ok
I wonder who Big Jim will bar tonight for looking at him funny.
(to pack and then hop on a train)
More of a bar. They do a load of foreign beers on draught though, such as a pint of Brooklyn for £2something (!). But maybe Ye Olde White Harte.
Want to catch Black Twig Pickers. Will be in foreign til then.
They were really great. You're in for a treat.
I'm going there at some point.
So you think they'll let me in dressed like a bavarian hooker? (Pretty much my normal look to be fair).
I've been to the Turf before. Are the Lamb & Child / Eagle & Flag any good or just tourist traps?
For city centre, go tovthe bear. Its tiny and great. If I recall it's near Oriel.
Also did the Lamb and the Eagle for good measure. And the Bookbinders Arms which doubles as an amazing French bistro. And Freuds cocktail bar in the old church.
Meeting place in 4 hours time. Dunno where after.
