i like scruffy looking gingers ones but siamese are the best ones

personality wise.

As a side note, in my experience, all black and white cats are total idiots, and not in a good way.

- I grew up with siamese cats
  
  I do like them but they're a bit like having a spoilt toddler who never stops being a spoilt toddler
  
  ALSO the only cats that can't retract their claws, and thus never develop an understand of when is appropriate to use them

I love turkish vans

I'm convinced our cat has some van in him since he's 90% white and he loves water (he has been known to get in a running bath). Also someone once told me that Turkish vans are the sumo wrestlers of the cat world and that's quite a good description of our fatty.

I would also like tabbies, in my experience they are very friendly. Tortoiseshells are pretty mental though.

Any cat really.

But 100% one from a rescue home.

We *could* be getting a cat if CG would allow us to break the rules a little bit. BUT HE WONT cause he's boring and has just asked like a sensible person. I'll be gutted if we can't get a rescue cat. I really miss my cats.

        I have a cat and she has to stay inside cos she's got full blown cat aids and will give it to other cats. Also she lived on the street for years so she's quite happy to stay indoors. Also she's only got 2 teeth so she needs us to mash her food up for her

        our neighbours in the house we lived in as a teenager had an indoors-ish cat
        
        basically they'd lead-trained him from a kitten so it never really had that roaming thing develop. they could quite happily leave him to sit outside in the garden and he wouldn't try to leave or anything.
        
        (also he was a long-haired cat and they're all basically dead stupid, so it probably never crossed his tiny tiny brain.)
        
        then we moved in with our unruly and evil siamese cat and suddenly he was jumping fences and getting in fights with cats far from his own garden.

Will be adopting

a cat from a shelter once I move back east. But if I were to go down the designer cat route, I'd definitely want a Bengal. Very pretty kitties.
