im never gooing on a cruise
if they didn't know the boat was real, does that mean they now think the love story bit is also true?
why does twitter have to show us how stupid so many people are.
If I can make a broad assumption, I'd say they are probably mostly not from the UK right? Surely everyone here would have heard of the Titanic?
and I assume it was spoken about at the time in school or something I duno
There's actually no point in the film that I recall that says it was real, it's just accepted you know that. I mean it is a BIG event so, like WWII films, it would be pretty strange to have 'based on true events', but those are probably kids who grew since Titanic came out or certainly only knew about it as that film...and as films go it hardly smacks of documentary.
It was a significant event but we read about a lot of disasters and crashes and the like so I can see why people wouldn't have actually noticed this was a real example. They probably didn't grow up on those Usborne books that were full of this sort of thing.
The film missed out loads and was all hollywood and no real gore or drama so I can see why kids wouldn't think it was real. The real stories from the Titanic are far more interesting. Have you been watching that Len Goodman show on it? Its really good even though he is really rubbish at presenting.
But thanks for that.
Now where's meths?
