Pakistan to have a lead of 74 after the first innings?
They've all had a really good series, especially Broad and Panesar. It's the batting that's lost us these games. You'd hope this one would be a different story now given this position...
the batsmen have shown absolutely no form, which considering we pick 7 people for their batting and considering how many of them are in the upper end of the ranks must be frustrating for the bowlers. heck, Broad is one of the only members of the team to get a 50!
We're going to win! Still Number 1*!
*if you ignore our batting line-up, which is incapable of batting on non-english pitches.
We'd be unstoppable then.
is it best to put your money on Pakistan?
Pakistan are 4/1 at the moment.
Bite now, leave it, or do you actually think England will win/draw?
you'll be 4 down in no time
PS - told ya so.
it'd be hilarious. HILARIOUS
*cue link to a scorecard where Jesse Ryder took 'em for 140 or whatever*
you won't play minnows like zimbabwe or australia every week tbf
when we beat those frosted-tipped gimps.
it's more like a basketball match
Pietersen...if it's hitting it's out. IDK.
the BBC live feed: "Apparently the technical bods on the TV think that was 2.2 millimetres away from missing leg stump."
I assumed they meant "hitting", as it would be an odd thing to say otherwise, but IDK.
Just saw the hawkeye replay a bit later.
but given how many LBWs we've had all series, is there a possibility that people ahve forgotten how to forward defend?
Has anyone heard? It says they will let you know soon after it closes. It's closed, what is soon!
I hate this fucking ballot, not as much as the Olympics.
More info here:
you do realise if you'd stuck the £20 on* we wouldn't be in this pickle right now
*or if we could play spin
whats all his about?
not the first, or second time for this guy is it.
Blimey. You're lucky Sri Lanka managed to pinch a game off South Africa or you'd have lost the top test ranking yesterday. As it is, you'll hold on until April when South Africa should leapfrog you (assuming they win the series against the Kiwis. I think we can take at as written that Sri Lanka will dominate 2 home tests against a rebuilding England).
You should flog the Windies, which makes for an interesting home series against South Africa, where you could either just scrape back into top spot, or plummet down to join Aus and India.
