does anyone keep fruit in the fridge?
obviously not bananas, but apples for example. they keep them in the chiller displays in waitrose and they taste increidible when you bite into them. that's about all.

grapes: yes
other than that: no
oh yeah, i do that
they alst about 20 times longer
Apples: Yes
they taste better cold.
i'm going to put my bag of apples in the fridge at work and take great pleasure in eating cold apples
This is so mind blowing
yet seems so obvious
oranges
so refreshing
pears
nice and crisp
lemons & limes
Grapes, berries, cherries
Take them out well before eating though, don't want that flavour retarded, innit.
All of the above.
tomatoes
Clever!
thanks :)
go sit on a cucumber
Only lemons, limes and berries
The rest- no way.
apples keep longer if you keep them in the fridge.
i learnt this yesterday.
don't most things?
apart from eggs
nah they keep em out in shops cause of health and safety, innit
oh for fu...
I keep bananas in the fridge, as well as pretty much every other fruit. Kept in fridge + left at room temperature for 5 minutes then eaten = best fruit.
The skins go black
but the fruit underneath is A-OK. I put absolutely all my fruit in the fridge. I even put grapes, and sometimes banana pieces, in the freezer. It makes for an interesting snack.
didn't your teeth complain?! mine would have
Don't listen to your teeth.
It's important to show them who's boss on a daily basis.
apples, taken from fridge, rubbed briefly and unecessarily on t-shirt
ooh that's really cold on my teeth
but totally worth it
Nope.
I can't bite into cold fruit.
No
grapes, berries, stone fruits, melons, pineapple — yes
all others — no
pretty much ^this
plus peppers. Technically a fruit, i think.
And Limes & Lemons, when they've been cut into.
obviously
only plantains
i wish i liked them
i had some once, it tasted like warm, more savoury banana that had been sliced up and fried. i was all like, well that's a waste of time, why couldn't i have just had a normal run of the mill unrefridgerated banana?
here we go
Grapes in the freezer please
mmmm
totally trying this
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN KEEPING THEM BEFORE!?
like. honestly. room temperature grapes!? you disgust me
(this topic really brings out my inner PocketMouse)
They don't last long enough
Post-purchase to be put *anywhere*

you're not supposed to do this though
room temp fruit has the best flavour, and even though you may think it's lasting longer in the fridge, it isn't really. it just looks fresh.
the consistency of room temp fruit isn't very nice though
and apples to wrinkly and gross
I have rudimentary biology knowledge that says otherwise
