Guess we should get this going.
The top four manage a point between them this weekend as City, United and Chelsea all fall to varyingly humiliating reverses, but then if you all lose then I guess it's not so bad? Can we not get a bit of comradely commiseration going in this thread? I mean, it's not as if Spurs or Arsenal are going to get anywhere near the title. Right?
From our perspective our loss was on paper probably the least appalling result but it's the worrying end result of problems which have been there to see for the last four or five games, most notably our inability to break down teams who defend robustly, and our inability to take the chances that we do craft. We're going to have to hope to hell Liverpool go for it tomorrow night, because that's the only way we seem to be able to score currently.
Elsewhere Blackburn's win isn't enough to haul them out of the bottom three, with all the bottom clubs picking up points from somewhere. Roy Hodgson headbangs as West Brom lose at home late on again. Leeds take a thumping, Forest continue their slump towards League 1, Charlton lose allowing the Sheffield clubs to close the gap in the aforementioned league.
No time for more as YET MORE SHOCKBALL TO COME IN THIS PACKED SHOCKMAS AND SHOCKYEAR SPECIAL. Predictions to follow.
