and been all "YEAH, NOW YOU CAN'T GET IT, YOU UNELECTED SPENDOCRATS!!!"
that would've shown them
there are more lefty pisstakers there than actual marchers. so i imagine it isn't.
They clearly are lefties taking the piss with 'school's for fools' now confirmed (thanks TheWza) as the other.
WHAT IS SCHOOL FOR??
'Even one of the most vocal supporters of the rally, the author Toby Young, apologised for missing it because he had a previous engagement at a pirate exhibition.'
It seems to be suggesting that a heavily underattended event is the start of a Tea Party-esque right-wing uprising. No it isn't, it's something people on Twitter are openly mocking. (Also, you can't really have a British Tea Party because of the comparatively meagre resources of UKIP, the fact that their central anti-Obama tenet of universal health care isn't an issue here and the particular political implications of being on the furthest right of the UK mainstream, but that's a different debate. Even the mid-market Express/Mail papers recognise at some level that announcing cuts to the NHS and police force look bad)
If you're implying that the Tea Party isn't a genuine grassroots movement then you're mistake. Certain political campaigns which have had Tea Party support have also had support from large donors on the right (most notably in Wisconsin), but the Tea Party is without a doubt a genuine grassroots movement. Don't assume it can't be just because it's right wing.
good work, that man
