I felt the same way about starting the thread
i'm at a friend's house right now but everyone's on their laptops.
the 21st century at its worst...

I wish the nightshift was here for good, no more tinychat!
Just got back from watching Let Me In. I hated every single person in the cinema.
I'm watching The Apprentice in some lovely comfy pyjamas.
talked all the way through, like constant chatter. One of them didn't talk but was on facebook for every second of it.
The girls to my left chatted a bit too, and the crowd were just general idiots. Think it's always the way on Wednesdays though.
But yeah, I liked the film a lot, didn't think I would. Only thing is the final scene on the train - wish that'd been left out.
I thought it were an urban legend.
I've only seen the original film and was well let down, didn't think much of it at all. You able to compare it to the remake or you only just seen the new one?
Probs would have felt let down. Thought it was really good though but too slow.
This was really good, it was almost identical in most parts, the kids were great, the atmosphere/setting was perfect...and although it was so similar it did have a teeeeeeny hint of Hammer to it, which is a good thing. They left out the cat scene too...
The really important question, clearly? Am tempted to see this though, the trailer made it seem a bit livelier than the original, which I thought was too slow too
She was very good, I wasn't sure at first and didn't think she'd be as good as the original girl but she was.
She's brilliant that girl, I like her a lot.
I liked the boy too, as rule I hate child actors but these two were fab.
It was pretty much identical really but yeah, not as slow. To start with it did seem a bit lacking in pace but picked up much quicker than I thought it would.
I seriously miss nightshift. I blame it all on whiterussian.
I miss it too :(
It's your fault whiterussian, you bloody idiot :)
I WAS THE BIG DEFENDER OF THE NIGHTSHIFT FOR AGES YOU FASCISTS
reduced to guerilla spamming and missing all the best posts
tut, tut, tut.
My nightshift threads bring the lurkers to the yard
fancy seeing you here -- do you step out of tinychat from time to time to check up on the boards? Who else is on atm?
also on tinychat is ainsm, yesiamaduck, prof (prof-kitsch?), 13monsters, and someone calling themselves thot, and some people who have just decided to leave.
l-r: me, shrewbie, dood, hannah, joe
fucking annoying, but I wish it'd blocked ^this one. It seems... wrong.
and not an expression of my delight at synchronous nocturnal orgams
Altho its only 8:24 for me. Kids sleeping, wife is watching the tele, and I am working. What up Rob.
I've been at work for 3 and a half hours and it's getting close to lunch time for me, so I wouldn't let semantic precision get in the way of joining the nightshift.
We welcome all our international guests.
Wins the Mad Men hotties competition every time. Regardless of how stone cold she is and how bad of an actress she is. The new fling is pretty fly tho too.
have you finished watching Season 4?
Interesting season tho yah? Totally different vibe. Wacky finale. What did u think?
"It's pretty strong. It suffers a little from the same problem as the three preceding seasons (too much focus on personalities, Don's secret past, interpersonal relationships, etc.: i.e. too much soap) but by nowhere near as much — there's much more focus on the agency and the industry. The first four or so episodes, in particular, are great."
where past seasons ramped up. I almost lost interest completely about 2/3 through the season.
Breaking Bad is the better AMC show anyway, you watch that? I watched A Prophet last night too, so thats on my mind, awesome flick.
it's on the list, but we've got a stockpile of shows to watch at the moment, so it'll probably be a few months or more before I get round to starting it.
Let me help you prioritize your upcoming selections, as I am a bit of a tv show fiend.
(e.g. HIMYM, Modern Family, Dexter, Skins) or it's rewatching old shows (Alias, The Shield, Veronica Mars, Deadwood).
Breaking Bad is, I think, the only show we want to watch that we haven't yet started on. We'll probably also restart watching Lost, now that it's finished. Maybe Heroes, too.
First season had intrigue but was ruined by a lame finale, and it only got worse from there. Not just kind of worse, but REALLY WORSE.
Lost is essential, but you are staring at 100+ hours of your future. Love The Shield, VM and Deadwood but didnt like Alias.
I'd say tackle Breaking Bad next as there's only about 30 episodes so far.
Off to sleep now.
But got sick of storylines crawling along, purely because they had a billion characters but only an hour a week.
catch ya later, if you're still on Ship. Otherwise catch ya later later.
Bump it up later. Unless someone else jumps in.
YOU'RE STILL AWAKE?
Of course I'm awake!
'Man alive' makes me chuckle.
and it appears to be happening DURING THE FUCKING DAYSHIFT.
party's over, man.
