I can't wait to spend money on seeing The Phantom Menace again!!!!!!!!
"OH ME SO SOLLY MR SKYWARKEL"
It would be so funny!!!!!!!!!!!
To be fair though, this might be the only way for the three prequels to actually feature fully-rounded, three-dimensional characters.
I'd probably have mixed up what sort of film I wanted.
But the quip was strong.
I remember I was obsessed with JJ Binks, used to walk around doing inpressions of him to girls (they loved it) and had a t-shirt that said "Jar Jar for Mayor of Endor"
JJ Binks WAS an ambassador for trade in my fan fiction, therefore he got rights on Endor after the tirade of omecron 7 in the Nabula dectorian saga, come on man, JJ for Mayor
RIP sweet Lord
half-wasted youth and half-spending a week at work a few years back doing little else than reading Wookiepedia.
you might as well be a Dangle Tooth Scrobbler from Hardinion Galaxy,
In your face, DinoBOY.
Chief Octopillion III, was the classic choice, he was robbed by the Dark Side putting an anti-gravitational crystal in his Y-Wing, causing severe repulsion in the third sector of Skaglion 7
"Jar-Jar, not War War"?
Why are they suddenly announcing it again? I can't be fucked to read the link.
because there are enough 3D-capable cinemas.
Phantom Menace in 2012
one a year
so Return of the Jedi in 2017
I only remember originally he was going about retro-fitting 3D to the original trilogy.
Anyway, this will be awful. 3D is one of the worst things to happen to cinema. Again. I mean, Spacehunter and Jaws 3D were shit when it reared its head in the 80s. It's no better now.
despite pretty much nobody having a good word to say about it. Rather depressing really.
It probably made more because tickets were more to pay for 3D. And I don't imagine it would have done badly without that gimmick.
It's more that I've yet to feel that I gained anything from the 3D films I saw that I wouldn't have got fine from the standard version.
The only genuinely interesting 3D I saw was Cameron's Titanic documentary thing at the IMAX where you were exploring the wreck of the Titanic so it was a good use of the technology.
First modern non-red/green 3D thing, too.
The last 3D thing I saw was Avatar on Imax.
The visuals were probably better than the story in both cases. I doubt these films would've been anywhere near as compelling without being 3D Imax.
The 3D stuff I've seen in Cinewrold was the opposite. Decent enough films, with not that much added by the 3D.
Summary: 3d on Imax is impressive. Cameron's storytelling - not so much.
So nothing's really moved on. I guess it's just become cheaper to achieve and easier to do with computers too.
he could probably arrange to have us killed
honestly my face looked like i'd been eating whole lemons the first time i watched it.
i feel terrible about the need to qualify that with 'first time' too
Mark Hamill with more make-up on that David Bowie at his peak!
Coke-addled Carrie Fisher singing at the end!
Longest two hours of my life.
what were the graphic novels set *after* the two trilogies, which featured Luke and co. finding more Jedi to help in the fight against....against people trying to clone the emporer?
Something like that? i remember them appearing about a decade ago and being completely phenomenal.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Empire + the two sequels
(I never got into the Star Wars comics, just the novels, for some reason)
i can't recommend them enough, btw - visit your local library!
i feel like ive been lured into a trap showing my geek colours, only to still feel like ive taken things a step too fat.
I didn't expect you to flog it.
he has to fuck with them again during the process - "look, this bantha now does a poo when the stormtrooper hits him and Yoda has nasal hair, now the film is as close to how I pictured it in my head - in 3D!"
I'm thinking the first ten minutes of EpIII would be something quite special if he doesn't fuck it up, but can imagine the end of EpII looking a fucking mess, it already does in 2D. Plus I wear glasses so my eyes go really fucked up watching in 3d...
