EXCITING THREAD TITLE
£330 a week to live in the new Nido building in Spitalfields?? OK, I get that it isn't aimed at your average British student, but c'mon - for the kind of money they're going to rake in they could at least spend a bit more on the design. The one in Kings Cross is hardly better.
The one thing that can be said in Nido's favour is that at least they're not Unite, who regularly put up the cheapest and ugliest buildings around.
Check out this: http://badbritisharchitecture.blogspot.com/2009/09/sky-plaza-student-housing-in-leeds-by.html because nothing says "sympathetic" like a black-plastic clad box tower, amirite?
Anyone on here live in one of these? Are there are any that aren't blights on the places they're built in?
