i want a ticket to a certain gig, obviously, but is it in anyway secure buying from there?
am i likely to be ripped off?
Moousee said it's fine, you can have his Toploader ticket.
Seriously though, I have used it to buy and sell. It seems mainly to be decent people that use it, and I've never had any bother, but that seems like a flimsey kind of recommendation.
you just have to arrange how to deliver the tickets with the seller.
You have to arrange directly with the seller. Obviously you take your chances, I probably wouldn't do it unless I was meeting them in person, but I've never had any bad experiences with it. Its managed to stay under-the-radar enough to not attract scammers.
my one experience of it has been good. But that experience involved someone else doing all the work. I recommend you get someone else to do it for you
Met the person (both present in Central London) at lunchtime one day, exchanged money4ticket. Excellent service, no fees or anything.
released the tickets when sorted. That doesn't help you of course as a buyer.
Either meet in person if you can or you can use an escrow - it costs a bit more but what happens is you and the seller both send out your items at the same time, and a third party holds onto them until both items have arrived. They then post them onto their new owners. It's what I did and for another fiver it seemed pretty secure
T tickets expensive ? or are you just complaining about the face value price..
But then again i'm an exceptionally trustworthy person. Just make sure you meet up with the seller rather than send any money and hope they send the tickets and you'll be fine.
It's great, can always get tickets for face value, sometimes lower (though i couldn't even flog a Pavement ticket for a fiver on there!)
Swap in person though - I've been burnt on ebay by scammers. Person or no dice
She shoulda had a steadier aim then.
I know. I was already leaving. Hometime.
3 match ban
bought and sold tickets. never had any problems.
the last lot i sold the guy asked me to send him a photo of the tickets (which i did) and then i gave him the track and trace number when i sent them.
other times i've met the seller in person.
