there goes my dream job :(
Walking Dead is easily one of my all time favourite series, and a quality budget TV series would be the perfect way to adapt it.
I can't wait to get my hands on the next volume of the soft-cover collection. I can't believe I thought it was going stale and almost gave up on it during the prison days, but shit, they really gave it a kick up the arse there.
He's so obviously a Mary Sue. I really hate the fucker.
i had liek the first two seasons plotted out in my head and some of the roles cast *weeps*
ALSO, FYI EVERYONE: amazon says that the next trade is out tomorrow :D
please let's hope that no one has the bright idea of modernising the zombies and letting them run really fast.
I'm a bit behind on the comics now. My friend who bought them is spending money on their upcoming baby instead of buying comics. It's so selfish. How am I meant to know what's going on?
Also you've reminded me to pre-order book 10, thanks!
This could be properly awesome. You'll get a few Theo-a-likes going, "MORE Zombies? Internet geek meme LOLZ" and you, this is only a possibility 'cos there's bucks in zombie horror for the time being, but The Walking Dead is a great story and could translate to a TV series really well.
Now I know why
If you did you wouldn't bother asking that question
I get those, I just don't understand what you're saying. At all.
were meant to go in an email I was writing at the same time.
It's out now. I've got a copy in my bag.
amazon are giving me a delivery estimate of Aug 19-21. I hate their free delivery and I hate being a cheapskate as well. I swear, it'd take me less time to walk to their bloody warehouse and pick it up, and that way I could stop at my mum's for tea ;)
Last night I dreamnt one of our cats become a zombie and he tunnelled through the ceiling. He pounced down, and I had to stab him in the head with some scissors
The tenth paperback collection (each collection compiles about 6 of the individually published comics, but they're for geeks, right?) was released today.
A policeman wakes up in a hospital a la The Day of the Triffids/28 Days Later/a load of bog standard surival horror, discovers zombies have appeared somehow and trys to find somewhere safe for him, his family and anyone else he bumps into, to stay. It features very little zombie action, tbh and kinda lulls mid-way through the series.
I think the first one is up on the internet to read if you're interested and don't want to part way with money just yet.
No matter how much they claim they'll stick to the tone of the books, they'll bottle it when it really gets rough.
Without getting too spoilerish, there's no way ANY TV or film producers would dare stay faithful to the escape from the prison. If you've read it, you know what I'm talking about. BANG.
if anyone's seen the mist, you know how good he can be
airing from October, which is also when it starts in the US
i fucking LOVE the books. just panneled through book three hardback and ready to munch 4 and 5 pronto.
yeah! kill some zombies!
Actually i think he'll make a good Rick, he seems likeable enough.
bloody hell, talk about dark. :'(
#12 is out NEXT WEEK
