if you cup your hand behind your ear you can focus and amplify your hearing.
how else can you heighten your senses?

  • fucking hell

    that's awesome.

pertially sighted people can wear glasses. i think it's technically possible for people with perfect vision to get even better vision with laser eye surgery.

    • well of course it is

you can have 25/20 vision because you can see something at 25 metres the average person (or supposed good vision) can see at 20 meters. Something like that anyway.

That's why people who want to be a pilot have to have 20/20 vision or better

      • No, better than 20/20 works the other way.

I used to have at least 20/13 vision.

        • Here comes some fascinating info

The receptor density in the retina only allows vision to go down to about 6/2 or about 20/8 so it won't ever get any better than that unless science magically allows us to pack more cells in there. Also the optical system of the eye is too wack to allow us to see that well. And nothing in the world is made for super sighted people thus only a few people give a toss about it so it's a long way off.

  • pilots in the US heliocopter forces are trained to focus on two things at once

so they can see all the displays and stuff

this may not be true, but is cool none the less

  • If you have remote central locking on your car

and you you're just a few yards too far away to point it at the car and open/lock it, "fire" it point-blank into your head instead. YOUR MIND CAN OPEN ELECTRIC DOORS!

  • You can see black and white photos in colour.

The following is a .gif that starts off b&w, goes negative for 15 seconds, then goes back to b&w and repeats. Never at any point does it go colour:
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v698/gojolleygo/1196028670293.gif
Focus on one point of the photo whilst it's all negative-y, then when it changes back don't move your eyes. Ta da!
