he's just keeping it in tune with the source material:
(I'd love to have seen how good Season 3 and 4 of The West Wing could have been without 11th Sept 2001 causing a crisis of liberalism for Sorkin...)
was that the show generally used real countries pre 9/11 - eg the storyline right at the start of the first season where Syria shoots down a US transport. suddenly it's Qumar and Kundu and only really switched back towards the end with the Israel / Palestine stuff.
The first two seasons are great and after that it really lost its way for me.
I liked the last two but they're done so differently so that it's more like one really long episode stretched out over the entire two seasons. I liked how much they used to cram into the early episodes.
That was me!
I have no idea what to make of that link. Quite literally, no idea...
LOADS OF THE PICTURE CAPTIONS ARE GRANDPA SIMPSON QUOTES :D :D
although season 3 is still pretty good and it definitely picks up in seasons 6 and 7.
N.b. I still have yet to watch that stand alone episode at the start of season 3.
I'm watching the whole series from start to finish again, so Imight give it a go this time.
Series 1: Mandy is an awful character.
and when they have flashbacks to the first Barlett campaign she's gone from those as well. BYE MANDY.
it's incisive political satire!
