i just went to Woolworths on Camden High Street
it smelt of despair. there's almost no stock left, although they do have an abundance of ironing boards, desk fans and paul o'grady's autobiography.
i bought two packs of kitten stickers. 69p each! get in.

!!!!!
Did you get my text?
i did
i checked them out but i doubt they'd fit us :(
We would have worn them on our shoulders!!!
are you talking about the stormtroopers costumes?
come on guys, tell me you are
Kitten stickers?
Stickers for kittens?
Are you doing swaps?
I just have an image of minimum wage drones cocking shotguns
to maintain order atop piles of Kerry Katona fitness DVDs
the staff looked even more miserable than usual
the constant christmas music probably doesn't help
Soviet orchestral pieces would fit the mood a little better
no wonder
what with them losing their jobs and all.
fat people making fitness dvds amuse me
pretty much the only things that come out
on the monday after christmas are celebrity-endorsed fitness dvds.
I really need an ironing board
the one on brixton high street has been packed every day for the last 3 weeks.
there is LITERALLY nothing inside and yet still the morons are skulking round it
brilliant emphasis on the word literally
sarcasm
man my sarcasm-dar is all over the shop today
no it was MY sarcasm-dar.
KITTEN STICKERS
Perfect; I've been having trouble identifying kittens from other things lately!
There is a sign in the Woking branch
asking customers not to assualt the staff.
Not only are they losing their jobs but they are getting assualted as well. Happy Christmas!
YOU SHALL NOT PASS
Have I really just spelt assault incorrectly twice?
Madness
yeah apparently people have been going apeshit
cos the sales arent as radical as the media has been implying. fucking idiots.
some of the pricing is really strange
Master of Puppets was marked "SALE - now £16". like, huh?
Lars is trying to claw back all that money lost to downloads.
That IS a sale for Metallica these days.
AMAZING
I looked at Woolworths 2 weeks ago
and they had no Lego. I walked out in disgust.
i found a copy of Lego Batman for the PS3
under a pile of power rangers cutlery
:D
why were you even reading this thread?!
haha
I need some kitten stickers
i bought the last two
BOO YAH
man
I needed some urgently and all!
I'm going to miss Woolworths :'(
Kitten stickers? Check out the store in Neal's Yard that's full of Japanese stuff.
I can't explain it but it's the one where the skater shops are in the basement, the shopping centre there in Covent Garden.
I was at the one in hackney at the weekend
it looked like it had been looted
and some pick n mix
I went in the one in windsor couple of weeks ago.
I found the discounts quite disappointing and to be honest the store looks like Edmonton Ikea Riot mob had run through it.
That's a typo, it's actually "kittens tickers".
You're one sick individual.
xbox stuff is STILL to expensive in the biggleswade one.
Sale my arse.
Borat 2: Sale My Arse
Borat 2²: Sale My Arse The Bloodening
Borat 2³: Sale My Arse The Bloodening: The Revenge
Yeah I was in the one in North Finchley on Saturday
It reeked of depression and shattered dreams.
And approx 1,000 Steven Gerrard Calendars.
The Stevie G calendars were doing quite well
until they got into the box and dived theatrically.
This didn't come out as I had planned. Ignore this wisecrack.
it's taken 3 hours but I get it now
The one in Eastcote closed a few weeks back
Epic queues every morning beforehand, I suppose closing-down sales are to the masses of the Hillingdon/Harrow border what Radiohead in-stores are to me.
I can imagine the uxbridge one got quite messy!
Man, it would have been carnage
Still, I'd happily kill my fellow man for a £4 plate and cutlery set.
Where is the guy who sells the big issue outside Uxbridge Woolies going to stand now?
Uxbridge won't be the same dodging past "issuesir" into Woolies as a short cut to the bus station
Maldon high street won't be the same without Woolies
I wonder what they'll turn it into.
Iceland
One of those discount stores
that seems to change its name and layout every three months, including a spell as 'CHRISTMAS SHOP', which just makes me think of the Butterfield Detective Agency sketch off Peter Serafinowicz's show.
there's one of these on hoxton street
FIREWORKS SHOP
lul
CHRISTMAS SHOP
dunno what it does for the other 10 months of the year, mind
Tesco Express
I almost feel sorry for the staff of my local Budgens...
Discount book shop that also sells cat calendars, Ronnie Corbett audio tapes.
and "how to play a harmonica in 10 easy steps" packs.
99P STORE
i saw you
from my window.
