I can't decide between
but everyone would always end up in fist fights
so we all cut back on it
screw your intellectual games
or Snakes & Ladders.
it's a right tough call...
from those 3 (edges scrabble by a fraction)
to see how the life would pan out
when am i going to get my racing horse, or my oil field, or my millionaire's mansion?
*weeps at lack of horse, oil and mansion*
ma family aren't into board games enough :@
Even before computer and video games, they were never very good, huh?
or mouse trap
mums are shit
but it's not really a board game
was far too scary for me to play
obviously you didn't play the extreme version...at night, with the lights out, curtains closed with ouija board
or Monopoly (star wars version)
I'm shit at both of them though
Everyone's just like "Omg, it represents war! It *must* be amazing!" It's rolling a die to see who gets the highest number, you cunts. Go and play quasar or something.
what most board games come down to?
i love risk. it's got a strategy element too it, and there's the diplomacy where you make treaties with people. and you have to decide whether to attack, or where to place your forces to stop other people attacking you... a great game.
i'm still not sure about risk godstorm and risk 2210. they're both good, but there's just a bit too much complexity in them and i think it takes away from the best points of the game.
but Risk is 5 fucking hours of it.
definitely shorter than monopoly.
You just gave me a flashback to the first time I played Risk. I thought I played it for the first time at uni, but now I remember playing it with my neighbour years and years ago. Must have repressed the memory.
i used to try to get my sisters to play. but they'd always get bored, so i'd have to play it on my own. and play each of the colours in turn. i always let the reds win.
set during world war one
players actually had to leave the game room to meet in diplomatic talks with other players
was pretty fun
it was even on my christmas list once.
i also wanted escape from colditz but i didn't get that either. :(
it was pretty complicated but i could probably appreciate it more now.
it looked d be fun. i really liked the idea of games where you didn't just move around the board in a circle/square.
i'm so good at scrabble.
this is one of the things I believe most in life.
mario party 2
you had to wander around this fantasy world board avoiding places like THE TMEPLE OF MARTYRS and fight beasts like INSECTOID WITCH and THE PUTRID SPECTRE .... fuck, i'm gonna see if there are any copies on ebay ....
