i have an azure ray coaster.
they had the Drum tobacco logo on the outside, but were mildly subverted to read China Drum with the legend 'Extra Rough Shag' emblazoned below.
had a Jet lighter with "shine on" written on it
ps azure ray = win
I don't use them since I got my ER20s though.
had to stop myself bidding on ebay for a microphones tarp
i also bought plasters ('cultural first aid') off of british sea power. they were pretty handy, though.
Promoting the ' Melodies Haunt You ' e.p
or: if it's good enough for phil, it's good enough for me.
I'd love to meet the marketing guy who came up with that. And kick his face in.
Plus the drummers sweaty towel from Phoenix 1994.
(I don't really own it)
and pencils too. they're useful though!
All badges. I never wear them, so they are fairly pointless.
Also i bought my girlfriend some los campesinos! underwear. indie-tastic!
I used to have a whole bag of Reuben frisbees
Good Weekend condoms as well.
(TCTC and all)
It fell between me and someone else.
And raise you an Australian Pink Floyd drumstick.
actually i don't have that anymore.
for no reason at the moment.
also, here might be worth noting my Dharma Initiative MUG arrived yesterday.
it's pretty amazing.
duke spirit matches
and of course, stellastarr* underwear
i also have some Zwan matches.
Surely they just fizzle out?
they're like the duke spirit matches, they are flimsy as fuck, and thus incredibly pointless. it's okay though - they were free!
it's my most prized piece of indie merchandise :)
amazing! where/when did you get yours? mine is from the first time i saw them as well which makes it extra special <3
because i was like 'OMG LUPEN CROOK MATCHES' so sadly i've never seen him or the murderbirds :'(
i haven't heard any news from him in ages, is he still around?
yeah they went on a mini tour in new york and came back with loads of new songs, quite a few of those are up on youtube and they hardly play older songs at all now it would seem.
join my group pls http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6890656371
I'd love to see them, but they seem quite elusive, or maybe i just don't pay enough attention to the indie news and stuff, but i never seem to hear anything about them. Maybe i will now thanks to your facebook group :D:D
and if they play near you i'll even let you know, they should be doing more gigs again after the summer
with the weezer logo on it. if only i could imbue it with songwriting skill and pass it back
but I have a Slipknot frisbee, got it free in a metal magazine many years ago...
it's more like an armband though, it either slips off my arm completely or up onto my bicep. Rubbish.
It's white with the old orignal world globe logo on in blue.
I got it on the In It For The Money tour when I bought the t-shirt.
a hail to the thief bag somewhere
belle & sebastian
Some tatty QOTSA matches.
About a zillion shitty pin badges.
ha ha ha
Who kept all their Parlophone 'flavour of the label' things?
distributed by W.A.S.T.E.
I got some múm rubber stamps and lost them a few weeks later too
got it from gig in 2003
Some hit me in the face, which hurt a bit, but the sweet minty taste was ample compensation.
been tempted to eat the sweet minty goodness inside but I have come to the conclusion that 5 years on it may have lost all of its minty properties.
but I ate it :(.
which now doesnt even work because of daniel GUNPOOP
but a piece of Trail of Dead drumkit.
I've got some Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster matches somewhere.
knitted cursive coin purse
[i think there's a theme here]
the most useful merchandise i have is a B&S flight bag. it's great as a cabin bag for long-haul flights!
Not really pointless though. Actually very useful.
Glass Onion (Travis before they were Travis) coasters.
My Life Story top trumps cards.
Not very indie but once had a Liberty X plastic frog.
not interesting, but i didnt take them out the packet so kind of pointless.
