someone gave me a copy. i am going to watch it in a little bit.
how rubbish is it?
it has no relation to the Day remake from a few years ago (although it does also star Viny Rhames) and went straight to DVD.
still, zombies are zombies..
that was before i saw City of the Living Dead. Thanks Lucio!
the other films in his total cinema zombie cycle - the beyond or house beside the cemetery
"Zombies with abilities of super strength, teleportation and levitation appear and start killing off people in town"
theres very little hint of a story - those films are all about the atmosphere
i really, really wouldn't recommend it
Zombie Flesh Eaters/'Zombi 2' to anyone after a truly mangled zombie classic with an interest in Fulci (even City of the Living Dead, at a stretch, is entertaining, although it's well Marenghi, what's up with the editing?) but the Beyond and House by the Cemetery were awful, view to debase yourself.
of the Fulci zombie films that could be considered a 'good' or well made film
the others just seem to be exercises in gore and brutality for the sake of it
if Marenghi was a real writer they probably are the sort of zombie films he would make
given half the chance...
The Beyond is ace, only the full uncensored version though...
in a charity shop in taunton after an ATP for 50p. it's the 'extreme edition'. giggle.
as the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" if thats what you mean. It's more like one of the Resident evil movies
with sarah polley?
but apparently it's got an entirely different plot and premise to the original
and is really shit
in better zed-related news: Walking Dead book 8 is out July 2nd. this is THE REAL DATE.
i reread all seven books a few weeks ago and i'm VERY EXCITED.
that and Scott Pilgrim are my two favourite series at the moment
There mighthave been a thread but I can't remember.
it was REALLY shit. a nice idea but horribly, horribly executed.
My local Asda store are flogging it for a fiver and I've been tempted...
but i did quite like the look/idea of it.
so far we've had running zombies, juumping zombies, zombies crawling along the ceiling... also, loads of the zombie attack shots have been sped-up and they look AWFUL.
it's really stupid but i am really enjoying it...
i have decided i love this film.
ZOMBIES WITH GUNS!!!!!!!
sounds like it's turning a bit Zombie Lake (the nazi one)
have you seen this?
it's some nazi zombies hanging out around a lake scheming and killing people.
I think it's zombie lake anyway, i saw it on the horror channel ages ago.
i just did some youtubing about it.
i'm thinking about a film where there's some nazi zombies near a lake with a wisecracking leader and some human special forces types fighting them.
wolfenstein as dark serious cinema :D
outpost was pretty good fun, the zombies could go invisible and stuff
about sneaking into a nazi castle.
id (makers of Doom) then acquired the rights to make more games with the same name - wolfenstein 3D and return to castle wolfenstein both had the nazi's experimenting with the undead
but it does have a friendly zombie a la the original AND a wise-cracking black dude.
there's a talking half-zombie. TEN POINTS!
i haven't laughed so much in AGES.
no-one else seems to agree though
I've been neglecting my zombie node. I must feed it zombie action.
It was your post about the clotheslining that tipped me over the edge. I need this.
most correct thing ever said.
