guntrip reviews: crystal camel premium vodka & orange
hello! welcome to another edition of my irregular series of reviews.

i stumbled upon this beauty while buying bread in the tescos located near king's cross station, london. it's a premixed vodka and orange drink, and was onsale for the cheaporiffic "introductory offer" of 99p / can, which i'm sure is in no way attempting to position it towards the area's large population of sozzled transients.
the side of the can informs me that this drink has been "experly made ready to pour over ice, with a citrus wedge", i will be sampling this straight from the can, as both because i'm a massive pikey and because i suspect that's how most of its target market will be consuming it.
however, first things first - why would you name a brand "crystal camel"?
upon opening, it smells pretty... um... despite claims on the can to be "premium", i'm starting to suspect they may have skimped on the quality of the ingredients.
upon first taste, it becomes apparent that something is very, very wrong here. this... product does not taste of the sweetness of oranges, nor of the gentle burning of vodka. it just tastes.. of... bad.
at this point, i'm hesitant to go back for another chug. however, we all do what we must, and so...
oh
god
the
aftertaste
is
not
at
all
pleasant
and
i'm
going
to
throw
it
away
3/10
conclusion: it tastes like something you'd make with tent-warmed leftovers on the last night of the Reading festival. it gets the 3/10 because i like the can design.
