starts in five minutes!
i'm really excited...
Peter and Sylar are THE SAME PERSON!
the episode and thought it was a real spoiler. i spent most of the first episode plotting ways to killer you.
I'm not a spolierer!
SPOILER: Hiro is actually the villain!
You'll be really disappointed.
look a bit overwhealmed there.
Just fly away, Peter. Fly away. Or here's one: how about, if you know you're going to blow up in New York, then - OMG! - stay out of New York! Cunt.
if it was him or Sylar that did it.
And in last week's episode, when he knew where he was going to explode, how the hell did he think it would be a good idea to go to that EXACT FUCKING PLACE?!
It made this telly: "Shit, I'm going to explode! Claire! CLAIRE! Do i... No, wait... No, I'm okay." I hate Heroes so much.
a show about people with genetic mutations that allow them to bend space and time and fly should be entirely logical!
You can create a fictional, fantastical setting and still have logic within it. Heroes does not. I still watch it, obviously, but that doesn't stop it from being an unoriginal, plot hole-ridden, badly acted piece of turd.
Is this a fight?
was a result of him not being able to control his powers properly.
Flying away would have required him to be in control of his powers.
It was the result of him not being able to control *that* power. The whole point seemed to be that whenever he started to get a bit stressed, he *literally* got a bit hot under the colar (good one, writers!!!!!!!!!!!!). It certainly didn't stop him from smacking Sylar in the mouth.
that one power becomes permanently switched on, if you will, while the others just stop working altogether? Why didn't he go invisible? Why didn't stuff start flying around? If there was any evidence that he'd genuinely lost control of all his powers, then I'd accept it, but there was none at all.
Can he only use one power at once?
currently. The five years in the future thing makes it clear he will be able to use multiple powers at once since he flies and performs other powers there.
I'll accept that then, but I don't think it "makes it clear" at all. Also, he's standing right next to a fountain. Try putting your hands in the water. I know it probably wouldn't have done any good, but you'd give it a go, wouldn't you? And also, if Claire had shot him, he could have just regenerated. Bah.
noticed Sylar getting away/being dragged away.
The makers loved Syler so much they arranged for him to 'survive'.
They had that classic thing of "OMGZ, only our villain actually has any real depth of character. We can't kill him!!!"
I really can't wait a year for the 2nd series!
because soon you'll have watched all those too and THEN you'll have to wait ages for the next one
you need div x player to watch the videos. Its got up to the end of series two
kinda picks things up again though. I haven't seen any after that. I really should get my act together!
11 episodes because of that writer strike.
is too many laughably bad accents. Perhaps it was an attempt to make the guy who plays Mohinda seem like a better actor.
those oirish accents!!! Would it have been so hard to hire Irish actors?
It was probably hard for them to work out who to pick.
Also, I remember a discussion with Americans on a forum about Ocean's Eleven. What few Brits and clued-up Americans there were on there were discussing that guy's terrible 'cockney' accent...and some yanks were saying "No, it's good." I don't think we quite knew how to take that.
the bomb would have stopped and Peter would have later regenerated due to Claire's abilties as soon as they took the bullet out.
Didn't that make Nathan's intervention entirely pointless?
and this would have ripped his head apart. Their brains are their soft spot. Claire and Peter only recovered from that because once the item was removed they could regenerate.
You know, the one that looks identical to Nicki's fancy-bit.
You know, tall, black and bald - didnt speak much.
with angela petrelli. i assume he's still around somewhere.
Also he really isn't 'identical' to DL.
GET WITH THE PROGRAM. CALLED 'HEROES'.
must be my TV then.
Surely with five years more training Mohinder could have been a better actor?
To imitate trees.
....its claimed that Adam can only die from being shot in the head right, but Claire doesn't die when she gets that bit of wood or metal or whatever in the back of her head early doors in Series 1.
Really bad :(
nikki hitting sylar with a parking meter? mega lols.
since he apparently had no difficulty responding to what Claire just said while he was flying over the city.
She raises the gun and says something like 'This is the only way' or maybe Peter says that.
Then WHOOOSH Nathan's there and says "No, there's another."
Something like that, anyway. It was a really picky comment to make but made me grin. Made up for the RIDICULOUS fact of Sylar getting away from at least one person who already knows he can play dead perfectly...
Because he did it in order to escape the prison.
The guy's clearly massively powerful and leaves a big trail of blood to a storm drain. It's utterly stupid that they would let him get away like they do.
and then magically alive at the start of this one.
a whole bunch of continuity discrepancies between the two episodes. very strange.
of people got shot.. do Any of them actually die? other than Nathan..
They didn't kill Sylar for god's sake.
lindeman getting a fist in his head mind'
i call that move "THE BRAINSMOOSH".
I will train you for er...a couple of hours.
Why did he land on the set of an Akira Kurosawa film at the end?
but Sylar should have been the vocalist.
The ONLY bit I didn't get. I just assumed that his dad's 'power' is the ability to teach people incredibly complex skills really quickly.
they both can bend time, and their time bending powers slowed down their own relative time?
i'm still convinced Ando has some sort of powers he's unaware of.
Is he really just Plank-Man?
isnt that Mohinder too?
is he really just plank-man > and voice over man*
rather than what are the voice-over mans powers..
The power to make the simplest explanation sound trite, laboured and patronisingly cheesy.
*slaps his big fat paw with his other big fat paw*
That was meant to be beneath alxmoore's post.
Mine is too, but I happened to reply before you.
Dont do it again.
that he's going to do Hiro's sister
after the quality of most of the rest of the series it could've been so much better.
and the cockroach thing was ridiculous. and DL should clearly be dead. as should Parkman, I hope, thickest character ever.
that sylar had gone in to. It just made me cringe. UNLESS he'd discovered some crazy new power and turned in to a cockroach....
I think. The cockroaches were around when he achieved this in his cell.
I don't know whether the idea is that he transfers himself to the roach before death or something.
that damn cockroaches never seem to fucking die, even when you think they are dead. and the fact that they can survive a nuclear explosion? OOOOOOOOH
i don't know, i haven't seen it.
and of course that's what it is. cringeworthy.
Although I saw it ages ago...
