i am. i'm VERY VERY excited.
unless i suddenly have a relapse in my recovering from a cold status.
the venue is tiny. like a little school disco or something.
i'll get lost in brighton otherwise.
five mins from station
the only tricky bit is that the start of trafalgar street is a kind of underpass bit which you go under; on the map it looks like a normal road, but there's no road on station level so i used to get confused.
i know the underpass. i was actually in brighton on saturday, haven't been there for over two years and then i have to go twice in a week.
you'd better come because... YOU'D JUST BETTER, YA HEAR?
last time i was at pressure point, i went into the mens to see that someone had done a number 2 where you're meant to do a number 1.
have been to grasp it like a truncheon, march into the bit where the bands playing and demand to know who's it was.
as it oozes through your fingers
i completely forgot about this. I'm not actually in Brighton. Maybe i'll go to London on Sunday.
yes. dunno about brighton, resident was still advertising tickets on saturday.
i'm still a bit ill and i'm thinking i should maximise my recovery time ready for the weekend. i'll text you to confirm later.
i'm not going to talk to you at the weekend now.
its more likely if i can convince hannah to drive.
in my favourite venue :D :D
www.seetickets.com and probs on the door
will you be there? come say hello! i'll be there with pocketmouse and maybe kid_a...
they were SO good last month. And they're touring again in February :D
i was going to go but opted to see Tom Brosseau in tonight Brighton instead. Oh yes. He's only playing a wee coffee shop too. Brilliant.
but nobody knows who he is
i really really enjoyed it. had to leave before the encore though, stupid last train :(
also, will scheff was HEROICALLY drunk.
Did they play Westfall? Did they??
it was mighty.
we also got six tracks from The Stage Names (Our Life Is Not A Move, Unless It's Kicks, Plus Ones, A Girl In Port, John Allyn Smith Sails), Black, For Real, The President's Dead, something else from Black Sheep Boy that I forget, something off the second album, and I assume Okkervil River Song in the encore. i really wish the london shows weren't clashing with ATP :(
but i'm not going to be in any state to go, so it kinda is.
Here's hoping they play it on Sunday.
will scheff started playing A Stone solo at the start of the encore - it absolutely killed me to have to drag myself away - stupid last train indeed.
anyone got a spare tix for monday's gig??
Daniel/Jamie - bring some to ATP, yeah?
