i hope not. that'd be scary.
something like; it's a crime to distrupt the flow of the mail (like if you superglued a mailbox shut or threw a mail sack in a river), therefore if you're a postman and you go on strike you're breaking that law.
if their trade union held an official ballot it isn't.

Some of us are contractually obliged due to the fact we are a) not in the same union (CWU); and b) of a different grade (managerial not postal) and therefore could be suspended from duty or worse if we do not carry out the direct instruction to carry out the Universal Postal Service with as little disruption as possible.
be the opening for Secure Mail Services to launch a postal coup with their army of ford mondeos and bizarre delivery timescales.
