no such luck:
funural? i can't be bothered to read that, it looks boring.
basically a big public event.
they get to have the funeral service in Westminster Abbey as well.
more info on here:
that anyone who dies inside the Houses of Parliament is legally entitled to a state funeral.
I was told by someone who worked there that they've allegedly moved bodies of people who've collapsed there outside to prevent this from happenoing.
i think it's actually that it is ILLEGAL to die in the Houses of Parliament. there is a reason for this but i can't remember it. but if you do die there, your death certificate actually says you died across the road. you've got to love British law don't you?
And that it's illegal 'cos, if you did officially die there, you'd have a state funeral.
instead of a gun carriage, thatcher could float down the road on a miniature scale replica of a Destroyer!
it would suit her more.
yet, but tony blair is planning to kill her?
"Gerald Howarth, Conservative MP for Aldershot and Lady Thatcher's former parliamentary aide, told the newspaper: "That is Blair all over. It is contemptible."
YEAH. sick bastard not planning a funeral for someone who's not dead.
a sure sign of internal organs not working, isn't that right Grandma. Grandma? Granny?
Can someone get onto the Press Association, fast. I have some BIG news....
she has had a couple of strokes now. the last one forced her to retire from public speaking.
with a knife.
it is so right. sooooo right.
the way the economy is run is probably something to do with the Selsdon Report from 1970 that she hijacked from Ted Heath.
And this is coming from a rabid Labour boy
the economy would probably be in a much worse state now if she hadn't done what she did.
but that's no excuse for the attitude she helped ingrain into society..
and the vicious bitch way she treated anyone that wasn't a well off middle class cunt.
while i've been alive actually. When did John Major take over?
Thatcher was opposition leader when i was a baby
and not being able to remember another Prime Minister. Dark days. It's for this reason that I hate 80's retrospectives. Shouldn't all these 80's themed 'discos' make it compulsory to dress up as an out of work miner or something? Or a yuppie with a 'punch me' face?
Basically creating a generation who don't give a toss about politics or the wider world and are only interested in what they can gain.
(I'm not accusing you of that, just saying that your argument backs up yo_soy rather than contradicts him)
I was being a bit thick there.
you were missing didn't bother you?
That's one of the reasons i hate her -she did actually impede on my childhood, along with many other people's.
i was born in 84 but i seem to remember that my parents were really poor at the time and everything was pretty miserable...but that could also be because i come from an area of southampton that is miserable anyway...
i grew up in luton during the 80s. it would've been difficult for the place to not be miserable.
state funerals still look pretty fun to watch. all over the top and gothy.
she's got some evil immortality secret, I'm sure of it.
that if ever i was going to kill myself, id do the world a favour and take an evil bastard with me. assassinate bush or thatcher or someone completely evil, just to do the world a favour. what have you got to lose??!?!? if only more people thought in the same way, but i guess they're too busy feeling depressed and suicidal to bother. pah.
