great idea, right?
Foals are playing at one at my friend's house in September
that actually sounds amazing. josh t pearson is amazing live :)
and i've never been to a house party gig, but i'd quite like to. i wouldn't want to put one on in my house though. not that i have a house of course.
he looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown, it was pretty upsetting to watch.
when i saw him he seemed fairly cheerful. he wasn't doing cartwheels or anything, but he seemed to be enjoying himself.
it was probably one of the best gigs ever. maybe i caught him on a good day.
you're friends with Del.
that takes me back
oh dear. Manics forum meet-ups circa 2002. the shame.
in july 2002 grudgingly as i was taking another forum person to see my vitriol that night.
stealthy was there as well.
Boom in the Diamond Industry.
it was one of the best house parties i have ever, ever been to.
they opened up the STA alldayer last year. any idea what they're up to now?
but i never read their bulletins... la la laaaaaaa
It was fucking BRILLIANT.
really, really good.
definately worth doing, as long as everyone is up for it.
Never mention my name!
I've slowly been monitoring Del's changing tastes via his MSN taglines. Even though I was kinda slagging Foals off the other week, a house party featuring them is a good idea. They're that kind of funtime band.
...but my house is too small and my band is too big. Plus putting your own band on at a house party would be extrodinarily loser-based. Still, winter night house parties with bands should be encouraged in the Nottingham area, definately.
...i mean that in a logistical sense. 222 Alfreton road struggles to contain its 5 inhabitants, let alone a 5 piece and the 7-8 people who might turn up to watch.
there are only two of them ;o)
There's only two of them and they RAWK!
lovvers, felix and you slut! in june that was in Lenton?
the house was tiny and it was absolutely rammed!
...if there was a slightly over weight boy with and unneccesarily small Semifinalists t-shirt on there, then you saw me.
...Blood Red Shoes. But so do more than 12 people in Notts, still a logistical nightmare. I could keep numbers down by publishing photographs or the conditions within the building, but then I'd imagine the band would pull out...
they're all over DIY house party shows, innit? :D
that would be awesome.
they were so good on saturday. they only got to play for about 20 minutes though as some guy ODed and the St Johns people on site couldn't hear his heartbeat while they were playing..
then what happens if people who are fans find out, crash the party and destroy your house?
i would imagine most bands who would play such a thing would be quite underground, and from my experience indie fans tend not to be absolute arseholes who would do what was described above.
..I'm trying to book Slipknot.
but messy. at my old house i had..
noise noise allore
night and the city
november coming fire
play..not all at once. but were proper fun..
play in someone's house. I don't think it counts as a house party if you to pay to get in though :(
mine would be an ace place for one. maybe.
if i ever move out, once i remove everything from it, i'll get someone to play :D
Grabba Grabba Tape play in someones house. He didn't invite me, bastard.
