does anyone know if they're ever coming back?
Their website hasn't been updated in yonks though.
If it's that Norwich band? They were great...
they had moved to Ireland and things have settled down now the baby has arrived. They played a couple of dates in Norwich last year.
I very occasionally get an email from them, the last one saying that they were planning on doing more stuff. But that was a long time ago.
I suspect that they have higher priorities than music at the moment.
got a copy of don't delete my frog though the purr records website, it's very very good obviously!
i know they partially relocated to Dublin and the last show I remember seeing was with Help She Can't Swim last april.
tis a shame. the world needs more insane kitsch japanoindiepop.
i also heard that the singer went back to Japan for a bit because of family matters, can't remember if she ever came back...
i'd love to hear more stuff too. Their Peel session is one of the most Utterly Joyful Things ever recorded.
from the one EP thingy i heard.
Frog, froggy frog.
of those bands that are so shit, they're great.
On record you can hear mistakes all over the place and beats being dropped but it's all part of the charm.
Hyper Kinako, John?
to email them and ask to do a handmade ltd to 100 copies CDR release of all their material..
Of any of their stuff. Please. Pwetty please? I havent heard any of it in ages
but if you go here:
you can listen to some tracks online.
The band did a few dates last year (but not many) and I think they are still together kinda. It is a side band for Bearsuit though and I think the concentration is mainly there.
but i think Lisa played bass for them for a bit or something. That was a time when most famous Norwich bands all played with each other (so to speak).
i thought she still did, but she also drums for cruiser chimps who are AMAZING.
Really has released some EXCELLENT records, hasn't it! And plus their legendary, acclaimed club nights are back on in Bath!
