i think so. bad name, appalling choice of songs and that "mixed rock & pop set"? gaaaagh.
isn't it just scandelous that they can command £720+ for playing other people's songs and yet most bands have to make do with £50? gah.
the 'mixed pop and rock' set is everything I detest about cover bands. Comfortable, bland predictable songs that ill educated beer bellies sit in a social club listen to and say 'fair good these arent they?, I know this one'.
'vibrant Bristol music scene of the mid eighties'haha.
looks like the IRA has decided to make music instead of blowing things up!
Cover bands bring in the punters. Punters bring in the money. Sad but true.
called stinkerton playing at the cardigan arms in leeds on august 5th that are so bad you have to check them out.
apart from the bassist, he's fantastic.
But my weezer tribute band, Geezer, are playing the Hyde Park Club that night. It's standard weezer songs, but with me as the audio bullies style frontman. We suck bad.
that is all.
they said they were a bit shit as I recall, and that it didn't really fit when they started playing their own songs, I think...
When I was younger and it was so fucking funny. "Richey" staggered onstage covered in eyeliner 'tattoos',lipstick "cuts" on his arms, stumbling along drinking water out of a vodka bottle...
It was very amusing, but also very sad at the same time.
There should be more conventions though, I really like them.
Shame about the manic fans, who unwisely adorned themselves with '4real' on their arms in LIPSTICK.
but it did make the rest of my music collection look even better than it did 5minutes ago.
