is tonight. i'm VERY excited. say hello to me if you see me, i'm wearing a sonic youth live goo t-shirt THING. oh yeah.
I'M GOING TO RUIN YOUR FACE.
i don't think it could get much worse. I FEAR YOU NOT.
that went wrong.
Anyway, if I could, I'd give you a kick in the shin right about now, dan.
but it's sold out now.
since the garage was about half full when they played there.
try posting on the ymss / 65days boards and see if anyone has a spare? it must have literally just sold out, as i bought a ticket on monday or something..
thanks, but i'm not really that bothered.
I'm not much of a fan but would have been interested to see them live, maybe.
much smaller than garage.
totally there, with Crablin and Raz.
how much smaller?
It's only smaller by 100 people...
The Garage is 420.
In that second reply! I noticed that if you press enter right after having typed in your subject line, the thing posts the message. Ghey.
i shall endeavour to do so. i think i was in the queue behind you at wreck but wasnt sure if it was a different trenchcoat wearing goff
anyway, come say hello. don't have access to ell jay anymore [o noes!]..
dan's a goff! :P
you'd know. goff.
The last time I checked, you still look a bit like a member of Sisters of Mercy :P
but yeah, I suppose I would know... :S
Alright - how good was the gig @ Rhythm Factory last night? New 65 days stuff sounded just as good as the older stuff. how the fuck does the drummer keep it going for so long? YMSS rocked too. Awesome gig.
pretty fucking mighty. enjoyed it more than any gig i've been to since.. er... i saw 65days at truck.
lost both my earplugs during their set, so my ears are fucked today :(
welcome to the wonderful world of the musician - it's always really quiet in here.... :S
great stuff - im liking the new songs
i met you, didn't i?
you did indeed have the honour
yeah, i remember now. me? drunk? what?
AHHAHAH! He was drunk!!! hahahh!Ah!hcx
one day, you'll be old enough to drink as well.
i had the pleasure too!!
as if i could bloody forget you ;)
sdghidsfgldflgkn. my god.
Last night was cool!! I learnt 2 things: 1) YMSS are immense and 2) Raziq Rauf is a theiving scumbag. I ate Burger Kings 3 times in a 24 hour period and im still buff!?!? woah.
What did Raz do?
pick pocketed me for my cigarettes and never honoured his round!! I think disciplinary action is in order...or better still: just fire him!
you're a dick
Are you. I hate you Raz. A lot.
Crablin - Were you the clown near the front left of the crowd of 65days who was:-
1) Continuously waving your arms about shouting "woo" and "yeah" alot whilst playing air instruments
2) Saying really bad comments like "now they've played that song (2 songs in) I needn't bother living anymore"
If you were please dont do it again you were doing my fucking head in. We all like to enjoy gigs and move about a bit but your animation was over the top and annoying as hell.
If it wasnt you then no bother.
But NO WAY - Crabcakes was hilarious. and he has quite an impressive hair-span! "you complete me" Crablin.
we were at the right during youthmovie, not the left.
hang on, he said 65days, not youthmovie.
DO NOT ENJOY BANDS
MIGHT MESS HAIR UP
That was me. You misheard everything I said and to be quite honest you probably did my fucking head in by being so inanimate and unenthusiastic like the bulk of the rest of the audience.
I'll do what I like and if you're not a fan of it, turn around and say something rather than just being another face in the crowd at an awe-inspiring performance that is so reactionless, the band might as well have been miming.
It was incredible, I refuse to apologise for being excited.
the by-and-large lack of reaction from the crowd was really, really fucking irritating, considering what was in front of them.
it makes me sad that the clichés about London audiences are true.
Pockets of the crowd were, umm, 'enthusiastic', though
like the ones around us. if they wanted to be or not.
Not a bad achievement considering a guy just behind us spent most of the set offering out free weed!
Once you 2 have finnished sucking eachothers cocks I would ask you to re-visit the point that I made.
I am all for members of the audience engaging with the band and moving, shaking, wobbling, jigging or whatever the fuck they wish to do.
When you punch the air and shout & scream the most moronic comments just to get a reaction of "oh that guy with the big hair must be the biggest 65days fan here because he wants everyone to see him" then I will voice how I feel about it.
Your behaviour didn't spoil the show for me because I was loving every second of the it (and yes! I was moving around quite a bit unlike the other 90% who did appear pedestrian).
I was just concerned that some of the members of the audience will have their memory of this truly brilliant show tarnished by the arrogant fool in the crowd trying his best to get noticed.
Not everyone needs to hear everything you think or say in public. Voice your opinions on a message board such as this.
was completely spoiled by the petty insult in the first line.
if this was real life, i'd be making a very slow clapping sound now.
Kiss and make up you CUNTS.
me, you JAMES BLUNT.
I didn't shout ANYTHING during 65dos, not one solitary thing. I did during YMSS though.
I punched the air a few times because I find it hard to contain my excitement when presented with one of the most titilating musical experiences of my life.
I suppose you're right though, as a 'journalist' I should have been at the back, staring at my shoes, silently pondering my word limit.
Jesus, you really are a pillock.
Stand at the back. Stand at the front. Stand at the side. Stand wherever the fuck you want. Just don't make a nuisance of yourself you conceited man.
Whether you are a 'journalist' or not surely you should remember that no-one liked the big-headed kid at school that made all the smart arse comments for everyone to hear.
I MADE NO LOUD COMMENTS DURING 65DAYS.
Yes, I did during YMSS, guntrip was next to me.
Your continuing method of ignoring EVERYTHING I say merely goes to point out that taking anything you have to say seriously would be a foolish move on my part.
Thusly, I'm going to get drunk and go and watch Bloc Party and shout things at them whilst punching the air, 'woop'ing and waving my big head around like some sort of ridiculous cunt.
Continue your embarassing behaviour in the bloc party mosh pit if you so wish dear fellow.
It's no concern of mine. I have voiced my distress and made you aware of what I needed to.
by the way - "yeah" and "woo" are words. Therefore they are comments. You stupid prick.
This is great.
What I want to know is... how come flackcaptain knew to find crablin on here?
Maybe some people didn't enjoy it as much as you crazy kids.
I thought the sound was rough and therefore did not feel compelled to jump around like a jibbering idiot.
Youth Movie were utterly brilliant.
Couldn't fault the energy of the 65 boys and i love the songs but I thought the sound was shit, so there.
I was standing slightly to the left during YMSS and did notice someone shouting out, which did distract a bit from the show...
BUT when the person shouts "YOU COMPLETE ME!!!" it's hard not to laugh!
I agree about the crowd though - I don't get it! It's perfect music for doing SOMETHING to - maybe not dancing and screaming(do what you want) - but certainly NOT standing like a bunch of zombies!
On a side note, on hearing the awesome new songs live, it seemed to me like most of the oldies (except maybe hole) have been rendered obsolete
