but looking forward. Fucked up keep getting better. Great live.
which is a shame because I really liked most of the stuff on david comes to life
i think I'll wait for them to release more/the whole album before i liten again.
i liked DCTL a lot, but I stuggle to listen all the way through.
Looking forward to the new album, after a slowish start 2014 is ramping up with a bunch of people whose previous stuff I've loved releasing albums.
The limited 2LP of the new album features the whole album again, but with half-time drumming.
that's brilliant. i'm not sure it will be that interesting, but still a fun idea
but maybe not
but its nothing that jumps out at me
except maybe Queen of Hearts.
(complete pish, first time I heard Baiting the Public I was flawed)
but flawed works too
Have never listened to anything before David Comes to Life until now. Baiting the Public - fuuuuuuck me this is good
by some distance for ages now, finally someone listened!
on the other hand Fucked Up! I think I'll probably go.
of course I'll go, it's Fucked Up, they could probably play in an arena and make it amazing, but eh, Koko...
but I seem to have misplaced my earphones at work
this is the first time in my life I've been underwhelmed by a piece of music Fucked Up put out. I grew to not be so keen on The Chemistry of Common Life but it's still got some bangers, so maybe with time this will grow in my estimation (the reviews certainly seem to suggest it) but at the moment, I'm not feeling much towards it, and tbh there's not really been much hype or expectation in the first place.
The multi-drum track thing is a bit distracting too, though 'Paper the House' is a jam...
I really don't like the production, that's the biggest obstacle so far, but I feel like they've run their course and don't have many "exciting" ideas any more.
But as I say, could grow into a solid listen rather than an exciting one
that actually changes everything...
but I just don't get it. I loved pretty much everything else they have done. I may try the version with the half time drums, I hear that is better.
the title track is great but otherwise mm. I should go see them live as it will probably help with this, however I've realised I'm playing a gig that night!
It's not sold out so just make me an offer if you want it!
I'd like to but I'm playing a show already. I can probably still make it after we play but I'd already be fairly close to home
The ticket's still available if anyone wants it. Even for the cost of a pint...
Yes it was.
Anyone have the setlist?
Queen of Hearts
David Comes to Life
Black Albino Bones
I Hate Summer
Baiting the Public
Led by Hand
Son the Father
The Other Shoe
I cam imagine this being a great set, I've seen it enough times before
would've liked to see Baiting the Public though
