new Dismemberment Plan
apparently they played seven new songs last night in Baltimore, according to a friend who was at their show.
a new album = surely a chance they'll come over here? SURELY? SURELY?

The Dismemberment Plan
Gwen Stefani
I really hope they do a new album.
Sounds promising if they are playing new stuff. Did your friend say anything about the songs?
no, but she's going to the second show tonight
so I imagine I'll hear some more tomorrow.
OMFG
SRSLY?

t'other day someone commented on one of their fb posts asking if they'd come over here
and Travis replied saying he'll be in Europe this year... for his honeymoon. Not sure if that means there are definitively no plans to tour here, or just him messing around with us.
haha
considering they did a new interview like, three days ago, where he gave the whole "I'd be up for working on new material but we all live in different places blah blah" spiel, I'm trusting nothing he says
Don't think they can ever reunite properly.
They're mostly married with kids, and I'm pretty sure one of them works for NASA. Serious business!
This is true
I flew out to NY for their last reunion shows and interviewed them while there. I'd be particularly surprised if they toured Europe even if they put out some new material.
would really love a chance to see them again
From the Plan Facebook page
Travis here.
We played a bunch of new songs this weekend at our shows. Eight to be exact! It went well, we think. We have a bunch more coming so we're going back to the lab to work on brand new ones and tweak these. No plans for recording as of yet, although certainly those conversations are happening now.
Beyond that, the shows were great. The venues, the crowds, all of it. So great to play in arts-positive spaces like FAA and the Metro Gallery. Observe the attached photo from Fredricksburg to get an idea of some of the craziness that went down.
not had a chance to listen yet, but:

Cool
They'd hardly get as far as 8 songs and then *not* do an album?
They had about an album's worth of unreleased material when they first split
Travis ended up recycling most of it for his first solo album. On the whole, the Plan recordings of those songs were far better IMO. Travistan was just too sterlie.
