Piss poor
if you ask me. Terrible advert/music that is too obvious
Well it'd be shite advertising if it
were a bit vague now wouldn't it?
'Atlas' by Battles was in a car advert a while back.
this makes me cry every time

That would be
When Match of the Day used 'Metal Fingers in my Body' by Add N To (x) to advertise 'what's coming up later' in a show circa 1999.
I can't believe anyone actually likes the shit posted above. Crying at a mobile phone advert. JFC.
People were all too keen to tell of how they cried at an advert for John Lewis
This wins every time

As ads go, it is pure loveliness.
Wild Beasts 02 ad
genuinely this

I think M83's Asterisk is perfect for a commercial
but I don't know if this is the best execution

It should be in some highly dramatic car commercial
There is no 'best' use of music in advertising,
as all advertising is inherently evil, and what's more, artistically defunct.
Yeah whatever Bill Hicks
It just seems that the majority of adverts these days
feel the need to have celebrity cameos and ongoing themes and narratives between successive adverts, and it's just like watching 30-second splurges of frustration from frustrated TV writers. Some of them seem to have completely missed the point of selling anything at all, so obsessed they are with the mediocre characters and situations they have cooked up.
in a utopia, sure
as it is, musicians sell music to companies for advertisement use. they want to make money from their music. disgusting, sure, but it makes sense in a society powered by money.
