has there been a thread on this?
here's a single from it:
yep. just like that.
that he's bagged her
I can't escape the feeling that this is some high-concept joke.
Thankfully, it's a joke I love
when the fuck did I get so sentimental about Christmas? I swear it's something that's only happened in the last couple of years.
I'm really looking forward to it as I'm a sucker for indie christmas records and they are indie rocks cutest new couple and the whole thing seems really sweet.
App they were going to be called Sleigher :D
There's more info and another song here (http://ash-official.com/details.aspx?categoryid=3n&id=51fc604f-cb09-41bf-bf33-ab4aeffdae1c)which is much more Ash sounding.
I want to go to their bush hall show too but I'm busy.
but the music is a bit rubbish. And I say that as a massive Ash fan.
that acoustic version of Tracers they do is lovely.
Like any coupley art.
On a par with Kylie and Jason!
but I think this is shit!
I AM THE TURKEY
Anyone got this yet? I'm really enjoying it, lot's of great pop songs that you'd expect from two songwriting greats like Tim and Emmy. Also loving the cover of Marshmallow World which really should be over some open montage of a cheesey american christmas film.
gonna record an Extra Special edition of my radio show only playing indie Christmas songs. so excited.
that annoyed me greatly
Great to see Ash experiencing a resurgence with Tim dating someone like Emmy the Great and the A-Z thing proving a bit of a success. I thought it was the end for them when they relocated to NY after Meltdown and that album sorta slipped off the radar. They admitted themselves after TOTI that they needed to change things up and I'd like to see an album proper soon.
As for this track, engaging an all as the theme is, I don't like the music. That clapping pattern is irritating.
in over the past year or so- that of a working band. I know that's a funny way of putting it, they've always been a touring band, putting out records, etc., but they seem to be emphasizing themselves more as a business. The download singles, special shows, merchandising, etc. A bit similar to what Asobi Seksu did a couple of years a go when touting shows.
And of course, the music hasn't been great since Free All Angels.
I haven't been a fan of the constant stream of mediocrity and a few novel shows on the English pub scene.
But I must say I did quite like some tracks on Meltdown and TOTI, Meltdown in particular. Different direction to FAA but it was always going to be hard to maintain that direction and focus.
As I said, an LP but with better singles than TOTI would work a treat.
she came across a bit of a bell end.
very dull indeed to an aging audience in Reading last week.
They need inspiration.
For a band I absolutely loved around Fee All Angels time, they really have plummeted.
