Not the obscure albums that aren't getting any press/attention whatsoever, but albums by bands that have had some success/acclaim in the past but whose latest has not won anyone's heart bar your own.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Massive Attack have both put out decent efforts (to my ears) this year, but haven't received much love for them. They're both contenders for a top ten (albeit at the lower end of the ranks).
I rate the new Autolux album (8/10), but most seem to think it's disappointingly average. Likewise, the new New Young Pony Club album (8/10 and better than their debut), which seems to have been all but ignored — though, with that call I'm wondering if I've already broken all the rules.
