7:30pm doors apparently, which is early and annoying as I want to watch 24 before I go.
On at 8, off by half past, everyone home for a toast and milk supper would suit me fine.
Rock n' roll.
there are two supports, Colours (dunno) and Friendship (who are fun). SEEMS UNLIKELY THEN.
uh, providing they play it live and in full. I'm assuming they do.
cant wait for tonight. hope the crowd is properly up for it!
I'm really quite excited, I've just decided.
and get it to mosh like fuck right in the middle of everything then set fire to a bottle of Jack Daniels, swallow it whole and burst into flames.
Everyone else'll be one of those Shoreditch crowds, scratching their chins.
It will be the best thing ever. I will except papier mache horses and just setting fire to a shot as suitable alternatives.
That's what I'm a-doing anyway.
T.A on at 10pm
not been yet. also haven't been as excited about a gig this much in agggeeesss.
saw them in Manchester last year(?), in front of a lukewarm-at-best crowd, and it wasn't quite right as a gig. This is gonna be awesome, isn't it? AND I HAVEN'T GOT A TICKET
Why? you may ask...of course...well that's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask, of course.
Well the reason, essentially, is that...
I won't be needing aforementioned public house for my soft drink indulgence, because I believe I might well be Walking down the streets winking at freaks, with a two-litre stuck in my buttcheeks.
friend of mine will cook you tea for one
I was born to die just like a man
I WAS BORN TO DIE JUST LIKE A MAN
f'king amazing scenes tonight
Ridiculously OTT, no subtlety whatsoever but I can't remember the last time I had so much fun at a show (especially in Shoreditch of all places). My ears will be ringing for days, and I'm not sure my back will ever recover.
glad it kicked off.
they seemed to have fun too. said they'd be back in the autumn, see y'all there!
...but I have to say they do make a jolly convincing racket. I enjoyed them greatly.
But for sheer amounts of fun had, only Wolf Parade in Manchester last week comes close.
Are Wolf Parade "fun" live? Wow - I've never seen them but I never considered them fun before!
They really beef up the songs live, and everyone went completely nuts for the Apologies material.
That'll be Boeckner's influence rather than Krug's then. I've seen Handsome Furs twice and they've been thrillingly awesome, and I've seen Sunset Rubdown twice and they've been turgidly boring. So, SO boring. Therefore - it's all Dan's doing!
Top dollar entertainment and enthusiasm was clearly infectious given the amount of fist-pumping (ooo-er) - one of the best gigs I've been to in a while. I was just waiting for one of the crowd-surfers to smack their head on the low ceiling though...
I think I'll name my horse Stickles on Red Dead Redemption now. WHAT.A.SHOW
Good mix of old songs and new, All my friends were saying "Better than pavement" LOL
I hadn't been doing the Acid Mothers Temple show last night I wouldn't have missed this for anything! ARG
