My Vitriol
does anyone else find it really funny that there's been a Guns n Roses album out for nearly a year now, but there's still no sign of a My Vitriol one?

My Vitriol
By the time its out they will be forgotten about. I've given up caring.
It's a shame, that's one of my favourite debut albums ever.
I'M LOSING TOUCH!
i'm not so sure
Finelines came out nearly nine years ago (!), and they can still draw sizeable crowds when they play live.
i've also just remembered that their first gig "back" was jan 2005, so thats nearly five years of playing some of those new songs.
my flatmate saw Som at the Deftones show in London in august. i'd probably have shook him and asked where the record is.
I'd completely forgotten that that Guns'n'Roses album actually got released in the end.
That went well for them...
there were loads of copies in Camden Woolworths
during their closing down sale last christmas. even at £5.99 with 40% off they couldn't tempt me.
It's really not THAT bad.
...
My Shitriol, more like. Heh heh heh.
I always thought they were quite forgettable myself.
No idea why so many of my friends had a boner about them.
This where I point out the genius
of the original version of Always Your Way and how it's SO much better than the Finelines version. The only place I have it is on a battered minidisc somewhere.
i searched high and low for a copy of that single
it used to go for £80-odd on eBay.
i also remember
finding a website hosting mp3s of their demo CD, spending ages downloading them on my 33.6 modem and then them being unlistenable shit. good TIMES.
:D
I spent SO many hours on Napster trying to find it.
16p on amazon marketplace!

That's not the one
I assume he means the original issue on ORG Records, the one you've linked to is the re-issue from Finelines.
I've got the ORG one, precious treasure. I used to buy loads of their stuff, I loved how they used to release three-song CD singles with twenty bonus tracks by different bands.
My Vitriol were pretty bad at Dot To Dot this year though. The sound was horrible, the guitars were so loud and distorted that you couldn't hear anything else. They only did about four songs from Finelines, and they finished with a Katy Perry cover. I've no idea what they were thinking.
Yep, the ORG one.
i have so much stuff released on ORG
most of it was total guff.
i also used to have long email arguements with sean organ about how terrible his customer service was.
This!
Same happened to me all the time.
The guy was a total arsehole.
Brokenchairs? Broken fucking record more like.
YEAH.
I don't mention it THAT often
It's just that you generally happen to be around when I do. Until I find it again though, expect it to continue.
i just found 'Cast in Amber'
on spotify. will have to give it a listen.
They released some new songs/an e.p. a while ago didnt they? they were fairly dubious though if memory serves.
yeah
there was an EP and a single under a pseudonym.
This will never happen
it's a running joke now. They were quite good last time I saw them live last year, but it just seems odd they go on a short tour annually and still have no record to promote. What do they do the rest of the year?!
why i oughta!
I saw them last year in Glasgow,
and their 'new' stuff sounded EXACTLY like their old tunes, but nowhere near as good.
They have well and truely lost their momentum, and a lot of fans too.
BTW, I actually like Chinese Democracy! Does that make me a bad person???......probably.
man i wish
the ORG EP still went for £80-odd. i do prefer the versions on there to the album re-records though
Sounds like they've got an album's worth of new songs
Just not actually on a record.
New stuff sounds really good to me, similar to finelines really - they haven't made a massive departure in sound, which, to me, is a good thing!
Just one of those bands that I think are way better live than recorded.
