more power to offset :D
I'm thinking of getting myself a ticket. If I do I hope to see a Drum Eyes/Damo set to make up for missing them in London last week...fool.
Loud & Quiet stage is going to be so great.
Who of note is playing on the saturday? I need to save money, but one day cant hurt, can it?
4 of the best UK bands at the moment. should be enough.
FOTL, Kong, Dananan..., The xx, Die! Die! Die!, Rolo Tomassi, Maps, Horrors, Wild Beasts
I bet there is a million clashes.
I would go to that if camping weren't a requirement OR I weren't going to be in Bristol until the Saturday morning. And I'd got an early bird ticket. See, I do like things.
i went home both days last year.
Line up this year looks miles better, mind...
took about 40 minutes...shower in the morning, sweeeet
And on my birthday weekend too... I wonder if I can convince my bank to cut my overdraft next month instead?
so this may be the answer
but haven't announced who's playing when?
the Loud & Quiet stage is Saturday 5th only.
We can dance. It will be fun.
my band are playing on the saturday on the hardcore stage- WIN!
apparently the first few bands played in front of no one, as they didn't open the gates or something?
darn edinburgh costing so much, and Soph not being paid last week :(
IM EVERYTHING THATS WRONG WITH YOUR LIFE AREN'T I?
..I can't go - friends wedding each other on the Saturday in SSStoke - so I won't even be back down South on the Sunday in time to turn up for the day :(
instead of thinking "yeah, it's annoying that i'm a temp and i get bare minimum holiday pay and no sick pay"
you think, "there he goes blaming me again"
when i'm clearly madly in love with you, you stupid, gorgeous, insane, tiny faced, female creature!
But only for the human drama.
arm is yet?
Still debating whether to camp it, on tube it home.
Hmmmmmm, home comforts at a festival, feels... like... I'm cheating or something.
but will be photographing, and need to be vaguely fresh the next day.
Plus, I'm like, OLD. At 25, ain't a young chap anymore...
My friend i'm going with is a 25 year old doctor. Man up!
it's good enough for me. SOLD!!
I meant to mention that as of that monday, he's working nights for a week. In Liverpool. He's a machine. I've never been more proud.
You've made the right choice.
You mean like, he's a giant CAT Scan machine or something?
See you in the pit!
I'll be the guy with a large dent in my lens...
but well wanna go on the sunday for the day.
no idea at all who's playing what days?
all i know so far
that the clash stage is the same tent on the sunday only then, wildbeasts, SIAN ALICE GROUP, tubelord and maps are all on the sunday according to myspace.
6 stages this year then, cool. 8 was too many
Amazing line up as well, I'm not sure if I'm going to camp though. It depends on if there is somewhere for me to store my camera/laptop gear overnight. It's all about working and drinking though.
Staying over at a friends in East London. No horrible damp tents and deciding to wash your hair under the tap in the field cos you can't be arsed queueing for a shower! Hooray!
To be honest I think I'm only really really excited about the slits. and seeing fotl twice within a week.
any idea when folks?
Rolo Tomassi / Dananananaykroyd.
looks as though rolo + dananan won't clash
coz I can't afford to go this year. Need to know the times so I can hopefully work out my shifts around slits, damo suzuki, ipso facto and (maybe) fotl. Does anyone know how much of the new album fotl play when live? I hope not much, unless it sounds better than on record.
when I saw them at ULU a few months ago. They all sounded fantastic.
what time would we have to leave the site?
how do we get back to hainault station?
(not been before, cheers)
to hainault station. it's about a 15/20 minute walk otherwise i think.
there's also a nightbus from hainault station to central london. sadly none from the site :(
Oh? I swear there was a night bus from the site last year... or does that bus just end really late or something? I thought the eight passed by the park itself.
Experimentalists Clinic of Domino Records and classic bass-heavy post-punkers Gramme, part of Trevor Jackson's seminal Output Recordings, will now also play Offset on Sunday 6th September.
Just over a week to go!
the Slits, Male Bonding, Teen Sheikhs, Cold Pumas, Wet Dog, Friendship, Mazes wowowowowowowowowow
I can't go, and if I could I definitely couldn't do the Sunday, but Gramme?!???!
I fucking love that band. I bought a CD by them in Fopp for £4 on the strength of one really good track on that Rough Trade Post-punk compilation and it was all superb. I suspect it'll be blinding...
You're name sounds like my outlook - tell me when and where and I'll meet you :-)
i make a personal appearance. it will be intense.
anyone got them?
... they posted the time and I made a clashfinder that is linked to on said thread. Get the last updated one linked to near the end of the thread tho, as thats the finished one.

from London I mean,
You gt a train then a shuttle bus I gather but what time is the last shuttle bus back to the tube station? and are there night busses running?
Also, I 'this' a call for stage times please.
