even by Spencer Krug's standards, this is one wacky record.
bad in part...
a lot of the songs sound how i imagine normal songs would after being spun in a (metaphorical) washing machine.
It had so much promise.
it was ok
but the rest sounded pretty average, alot less than the sum of its parts
Are You Swimming In Her Pools = fragile and beautiful
The Freedom = ace
Bluebird = awesome
Petersburg, Liberty Theater, 1914 = some sort of incredible anti-song
Widow's Walk = very nice also
The rest = pretty good too, but not really as memorable
In conclusion then, 8/10.
Listening to it at a train station, waiting for a delayed train, watching the people walking in and out of the doors. It made perfect sense from that moment onward.
