why is it being reissued?
trying to make some money ?
When I was working in my man job at this engineering place, whenever it came on the radio, they all used to try and whistle it, and got it wrong. Badly wrong. Numerous times.
and radio one play it now.
jo whiley can pretend she 'loved it' first time around
i was just curious. it seems like such a long time since it / the album originally came out!
i'm not really one for the whole "omg reissues suck $ELL OUT!!!" stuff because it's nonsense. singles from albums are like adverts, innit.
I totally thought of peanut butter and jam when i read that!
must be deliberate
"it was the band's decision to put it out again"...
I really can understand the record company wanting to promote a song that might have been a big hit. Not the band thinking it's a good idea. But they won't say it...
i'm sure the band would quite like to sell records as well.
if it's successful...
If it's not, it mighty just anger the fans...
some idiot was whistling it in my office today, made me think of when it got played at Mays ATP in Jaks and already sounded really old! i indeed suspect some radio dj/advert/tv appearance/itunes promotion must be responsible? i remember it was no an episode of grays anatomy...
It gets used on E4 adverts quite a lot
that's more what i was wondering with this thread, if it had been used in an advert or something.
Its a good thing that more people will hear it this time round. Although sometimes you do wonder why people miss such great pop songs when they come out?
The DJs who loved it hammered it, but it didn't really get on daytime playlists. Now it's been used as backing music a few times on telly more people recognise it (c.f. Standing In The Way Of Control)
They played a show in Amsterdam, and afterwards The Dead Science were coming on as they were supporting CFTPA. Loads of 15 year old girls (who are PB&J's fanbase) stuck around to chat through the entire Dead Science set.
F*** you Peter, Bjorn, John, Ringo and whoever else. :(
that, and the whole music thing.
