looks like it'll be E Street Band shows...
I want to go! :(
born in the u.s.a.
born in the usa.
Dude, this slab of wax holds Glory Days within it... I have spent my last two birthdays at midnight listening to that tune onna jukebox of the Holiday Cocktail Lounge in NY...
Incredible LP, but get Born To Run first, natch...
all of his pre-USA lps are 50000 times better
that's what makes it so FUN, sweetheart!
with "anthems" on them. any of his albums have more "anthems" than BITUSA?
to recommend and inferior lp!
mentioned in the London Lite. or the London Paper. one of the two. I think in December?
I would only go there for the Boss. Now I have to go! Wish he would do a dirtier venue but hey!
MUST BE DONE
This evening's "The London Paper" free sheet has a front page image of
Bruce from the last tour with a caption that reads "Bruce Is Born To
Strum At The O2".
Inside, with another photo:
"Legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen is playing a string of pre-
Christmas gigs at the O2 Arena. The shows will be some his largest
ever in London, with some 23,000 fans expected at each one... a source
close to the 57-year-old singer... said "Bruce is very excited at the
prospect. He's going to be bringing something special to London this

but you will need to register (free) to see the article inside.
that's the one i saw.
surely the crystal palace shows he played a few years ago were bigger?
looking good for his age!
when im in austrailia
on when tickets might go on sale?
But I've decided I don't ever want to step in the O2 again. I did it for Prince, and he made it worth it. I'm not doing it again for no one.
can you imagine how shit White Strpes will be there?
this is The Boss. he will play for 3 hours. he will be ace.
my woman's also on o2...
Inna words of Joliver: Appy Days...
do you have to register??
you'll get me one, right? right?
That's going to be awful. I pity those paying £40odd for that, I really do. They have no idea.
the sound and views are really good in the O2, no?
as huge venues go. Better than Earls Court.
I've ever been to to be honest, so i don't have any comparisons. It's just not that nice.
and I'd have said better than Wembley Arena too.
for sure, and the sound was great.
I just hated being seated for any gig really.
Scrolling tube updates on the walls too = tak!
I thought the venue was well organised too.
But it just felt slightly wrong to me. Like watching a football game in a shiny new flatpack stadium with no soul. I just like the smaller places. It was good for what it was, I suppose. I just don't like £6 sandwiches and escalators to get in and comfy seats and Credit Suisse sponsorship logos and things at gigs really. Hmm.
but I didn't know the number.
I really meant to bring my mum's binoculars to the Prince gig.
Although he objects to it, Bruce Springsteen is often referred to as "The Boss". Why do people call him that? Well, according to the man himself, this originates back in the days of "The Student Prince", a club the band played in the 1960s: he was the man who got the money for the gigs and then paid out the band members.
In the years that followed many fans have adopted this nickname. Even in 1999, when he toured with his band again, many publicists and tour promoters used the slogan: "The Boss is Back."
I really don't get why people think so much of him, though.
you're a momo.
You're a massive, massive dangler.
I've obviously heard tracks like Born to Run and Born in the USA, Dancing in the Dark and I don't see why people go mad over him like they do.
If you started a thread like this about Mark Knopfler it would have 0 replies apart from comedy ones, but they both do AOR.
And for the record I don't hate Dire Straits either...I just don't find that sort of thing particularly exciting. Given the nature of the taste of people here it baffles me that others do.
i <3 dire straits
after that it's very much a case of avoiding Brothers in Arms as much as possible and picking and choosing...
Springsteen is so much more than a MOR guy.
Listen to Darkness on the Edge of Town, or Nebraska or The Ghost of Tom Joad.
his good lps. sorry. momo.
I've only heard tracks. Nothing has made me want to check him out.
what is a momo?
They even played Santa Claus Is Coming To Town at the end, while wearing Santa hats.
Best gig I've ever been to.
