i bought this yesterday, after meaning to for about.. er.. a year.
it's absolutely brutal.
i love steve albini...
the loud bit in Dalliance coming in - one of my best first listening memories of an album
its amazing. his production matches their sound so well. i think it might actually be his best recording of a bands 'live sound'.
I concur - awesome record, certainly their best, and Albini's work is incredible.
.... doesn't Albini pretend this album never existed. I'm sure I read that/heard that somewhere. Or was it just a figment of my imagination?
as he recorded 2 more records with Gedge afterwards
well he is a mentalist so wouldnt put it past him
Jesus_Q - top 5 EVER if I've ever heard one. More incredible than anything you'll ever hear loud on a good stereo, the guitars and drums make me cum in my pants +++ the songs and melodies are heartbreaking. ALMOST PERFECT.
'make me smile' has to be one of the bitterest things i've ever heard.
david gedge is awesome.
how they should sound. a trapped northern romantic monkey with a guitar.
believe it is the best recorded album I have ever heard. Really.
is that wrong?
a tiny bit
I will give Seamonsters another concerted effort on the basis of the love in this thread
