he's unsurprisingly vague about it. Plus: if it does happen, it'll end up being another 'second coming' style disappointment.
at Zonino 12.
I read about it on another thread.
i love how utterly, utterly non commital he is.
i WILL make one. but not yet...
imagine if he did actually make another one and it is actually better than anyone imagined.
did you get my note about the eps?
thanks, sorry for not replying.
personally, i don't expect to see either of them anytime soon ;o)
may make music at some unspecified time in the future.
It's not much of a story is it?
I too hate 'news' stories like this.
Someone is recording a new album! It will contain songs! It will have a bit more of a reggae/thrash/spanish techno influence!
Tell me what it's called, when it's out and if they're touring it. Other than that, I really couldn't care less.
for most artists, no.
but this is someone who doesn't do much, and a band everyone thought long dead.
that he can just decide to say something like this and instantly get press all over even though it's most probably rubbish.
Is the 33 1/3 book about Loveless out yet? Even that keeps getting delayed because of Shields' input.
I really hope they don't just put out a really ambient record. For it to be better than Loveless it needs to be loud and sound huge. They should do something on multiple CDs like Zaireeka or at least do it on a surround sound DVD. Writing of which, I wonder if there'll be a Loveless reissue/remaster any time soon.
but this is a musician who's been basically silent for the past 15 years and is very cagey about what he does give away.
i'm pretty sure the 33? book is out..
says late June for the book. It was meant to come out last year but got pushed back at least twice. I think the writer's having some sort of a (predictable) nightmare with it. If it goes into the equipment and production side of it in detail I'd be very much interested in reading it. Let's just hope it isn't just ramblings which add up to a thesaurus entry for "dreamy".
'cause, like, this:
as part of some silly "universal heavy classics" series or something. and on super heavy vinyl and stuff.
If only for the fact that it might mean they will tour at some point in my lifetime, and I can die happy.
Also, PLZ re-release all the early EPs and stuff. kthxbye.
they're not jumping on the bandwagon of re-forming to make a quick bit of cash from nostalgists who now have disposables but may soon be too old to care...
that none of the pre-Creation stuff is likely to get a reissue.
but then one of the pre-Creation tracks turned up on that Rough Trade compilation, so who knows?
Saw it on Pitchfork.
So vague. But so pleasing.
